Well when Pogba came on ,Marchisio clearly played as an SS behind Vucinic.

Just a thought guys ,would you start with Marchisio-Vucinic in attack against Bayern ? It will also allow Pogba to start in the game.Marchisio's finishing surely cant be any worse than Gio's.What do you guys think ?

Gio started well, but became useless. Matri messed up but the sheer fact he wins the ball back and can hold it up well means he's better than Giovinco currently.

Marchisio - Vucinic link ups have been tearing teams apart since the 2-0 against Milan, they should probably start against Bayern unless Matri bangs a few more goals in.

Marchisio Pirlo Vidal and Pogba all on the pitch. Wonderful.

Agreed. He has done Admirably for us this season to be sure. But he is not starting SS for Juve material. He would be a MAGNIFICENT alternative, but not first team quality.

If we had a true AM/SS with gios age, this team would be top shelf dynasty material. I dont hate him, and im not saying sell him. But hes not a top quality starter.

Thanks Blue Guy. Also, Marchisio was playing the withdrawn SS. It looked good. If we are gunna do that we need Pogba starting in his spot for sure.

yeah i would really like to see it because, vucinic-marchisio passing is outstanding, and pogba is physically very strong and strength is one of the things we need against bayern.

I think it really depends on who plays for Bayern. Ifu they play Van Buyten against us then i say play Gio, cuz his trickery and especially his speed would drve Van Buyten nuts. If Boateng plays then his weakness is his losses of concentration, and i thiink we would exploit that much better with Marchisio-Vucinic. Either way though Marchisio will obviously start, in one position or the other. Another thing is Marchisio is less likely to get another yellow ifbhe plays as an AM/SS so i think i agree with that idea too.

Lucky for us we have a coach that understands this. Too many times in the past you see an opportunity to exploit opposition defenses, only for the tactics of the other team to be completely wrong. For example, starting giovinco and trying to cross balls into the box against a player like Van Buyten.

There are spots to be exploited on Bayern. If we can maneuver Vuci-Gio around a Van Buyten, esp in Germany, we can make a go of the away leg.

But, i cant help but think that this game is not going to be won in the final third for us. We are gunna have to win the MF battle. This is gunna be a tough one. But I think Arturo and Claudio have what it takes against Basty and Javi.
