Juventus a decade on… Empty Juventus a decade on…

Juventus are travelling at a faster pace than Marcello Lippi’s Bianconero title winners from the 2002-03 campaign.

The Gazzetta dello Sport has today highlighted how Antonio Conte’s side, after the 1-0 win over Catania, are now outperforming the class of a decade ago.

After 28 games of the present campaign, Juve have collected 62 points thanks to 19 wins and five draws. They’ve scored 55 goals, conceding 18.

At the same stage of the season, Lippi’s side – the club’s last title before Calciopoli – had one less point, two less goals and conceded two more.

Conte’s side, with 10 games remaining last term, were on 56 points – four shy of then leaders Milan.

Nevertheless, Fabio Capello’s team from 2005-06 had netted an incredible 73 points following 28 matches. That campaign ended with a revoked title.
