Re: which is the best stadium?
Anfield and Parken are the most famous stadiums I've watched game at. Both are very very good.
I've toured Emirates, Wembley, Stamfordbridge, Craven Cottage. my favourite form the London ones was of course Wembley. it's very beautiful, shame I didn't get to watch a game there.

Re: which is the best stadium?
Its hard to say which is the "best" because the grounds I have been to have different pros and cons.
The Camp Nou, the team playing is connected to me of course so it was something special. The sheer size of the thing was remarkable and while its not a modern stadium, looking around at the sheer size of it was something special.
Highbury much smaller, but you were so close to the pitch and the atmosphere was pretty crazy back in those days.
Estadio do Dragao, the most modern and best looking overall. I also sat with ultras so that enhanced my experience.
I cant really pick a "best one" out of these 3.
The Parken and the stadium for Leytonstone FC did nothing for me.

I feel naive for asking this, but those aren't real stadiums are they?Firenze wrote:

Wow, good looking out rwo, I had not seen that. Awesome article, and it displays many cool but unknown stadiums. I'd only heard of the AXA but being in the CL, I'm sure we all have. Beautiful stuff, it makes you wonder why no exhibition/friendlies are played at such unorthodox venues just so the world can see them.rwo power wrote:@barca_2011:

It reminds me of the yearly college basketball game that is played on an aircraft carrier here in the states, and it's another attraction that doesn't get the recognition that it should just because of A. how cool an idea it is and B. how awesome the actual venue is. It's almost a waste unfortunately.

Of the big stadia, I've only been to the San Siro, and the striking thing about that stadium compared to the modern life-rafts of today is that the San Siro has brutal fortress-like aesthetics, a really intimidating arena, almost like a prison. It's a real bastion for the Milanese teams. Well arranged seating inside gives the sense that everyone is close to the game.

I know it's not football, but that is the carrier classic and it's another example of an awesome yet unorthodox venue for a match.

Re: which is the best stadium?
I've only ever been in the "Signal Iduna Park" and "Allianz Arena" a few times and I can say both stadiums have to be atleast in the top 10. Beautiful and the atmhosphere.. huh.
Soon enough I'll be visiting London and going to Emirates Stadium which obviously is going to be special for me
