Who will advance to the quarter finals tomorrow night.?

Madrid's in top form right now and everyone's healthy... I like our chances.

If we can capitalize on our chances then I'm sure we can go through.
With that being said we need our defense to be 110%

Especially on set pieces.

The tie is wide open really. Any of the two teams could end up going through.

I like Madrid's chances knowing we only have to score 1 goal to re-gain the advantage.

Hopefully Real Madrid go through.

Impress me far more as collective unit/team as compared to Madrid who play as a bunch of individuals mostly relying on individual talent to bail them out these days.

United also excel on a tactical scale given Ferguson is superior tactician without a doubt. The Old Trafford factor despite its general silence will clinch it for United along with their away goal, stronger mentality and Rooney to put in a fantastic performance.

Don't really like RM that much, but hoping they go through and drown Old Trafford in sadness.

Yes cause Rooney wasn't playing a sacrificial auxiliary pressing role on the right side for United? E'to did the same for Inter in the 2010 final and while it won't be a spectacular individual performance, tactically it is cohesive and vital for the system that Ferguson installed. And it worked excellently.

If Rooney plays in his proper role for United, I can see him destroying them.

Tactically, the closest individuals they rely on are Micheal Carrick and Roonay.

you are saying that Rooney will limit the defending, play his natural role and he will dominate? oh well, you know, if he stops the defending, that's gonna free up someone, and might translate into more efficiency for us in attack. It's give or take, united in the first take spent lots of time defending, it's to our advantage if they play more open imo.

anyway, i dont buy Fergie when he says that he wants a 5-4 score line, he is going to defend deep and counter, he aint stupid.

Versus Madrid Rooney played out of position on the right side of a 4-2-3-1 and was relatively deep alongside Welbeck on the left side of the formation. It is an unfamiliar role, sacrificial and mostly used for the overlap threat of Coentrao and CR in assisting Rafael.

His true role for United is one supporting Van Persie "in the hole" in a 4-4-1-1.

Rooney did a terrible defensive job against us at the Bernabeu. Don't you dare compare that to Eto'o selfless display in 2010 again.

I agree that he'd be a big danger in his "true" role though.
