Do you think we will qualify?
Is remontada possible?
Do you guys think we can overcome this result and qualify?
I really dont. Milan will park the buss again and we clearly can't cope with good teams that do that. With 2 goals lead Milan will defend even more.

Re: Is remontada possible?
I aint really worried about us scoring, especially not if we play the right players.
The problem is, I have almost no belief we can score 3 without letting 1 in.

And also this. We have to score 3 and not let 1 in. I cant see this happening. Even la liga scrubs score at least 1 against us. I am actually saying good bye to CL this season even if we go past Milan, which i don't believe we will. Our defense, our wingers, Iniesta on wings. I just see too many problems and only one solution (Messi). Benching Villa surely does not help the cause at all.

Re: Is remontada possible?
Over the past few seasons, Barca has been atrocious against quick counter attacking teams. Last year, for example, Milan scored at the Camp Nou with their first attempt on goal. Same thing happened with Chelsea as well. Both Drogba and Ramires managed to find the net with their first attempt on goal.
99% of the time, a team counter attacks Barca, it will usually result in a goal. I blame both the gk and defenders.
To win, Barca has to score at least 4 goals because Milan will def score one.

Yes,but only if we play our best and play a different way to what we played yesterday.Even then we are still underdogs to progress.

Re: Is remontada possible?
Didnt Arsenal almost come back from being 4-0 down against better Milan? If they can score 3, then I don't see why we wont have a chance...

Very different.
Milan and everyone thought Arsenal were dead.
Milan knows we can easily get back in he game, they wont play with the same arrogance they played against Arsenal. In fact, they will play the same but with more confidence.
And especially now they have worse players.

Re: Is remontada possible?
Its not even that I'm worried about conceding goals, I'm just worried we won't win by 2 goals, end of story.
Milan worked us out well and we seem to have already thrown it away. Would need a huge change of attitude, a monumental effort, big performances from certain players and luck.
Of course we need an early goal and the only way it will happen in my eyes is a piece of magic from a player like Messi, Villa or Adriano. Yes, those are the three I'd earmark as capable of it. I'd start all three.

I think it's possible.
Do I think it will happen? I give it very very close to a 0% chance.

Re: Is remontada possible?
No. 2 things have turned this team into utter shit.
1. Breaking up the Xavi-Iniesta tandem to shoehorn Fabregas into the first XI, although he adds nothing to the team. He's an inferior midfielder than Iniesta and Iniesta is an inferior LW / forward than Villa or any other striker. If you play with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas and Busquets, who exactly makes the runs and gets at the end of passes? You can walk the ball into the net against La Liga scrubs. Champions League teams won't bend over like that. Not even Celtic.
2. Getting rid of everything that looks, walks, smells and plays like a world class striker and building the team completely around Messi. Every attack is now channelled through Messi to such extreme extend that if he gets double marked, 90 % of Barca's firepower vanishes. Villa must be pissing himself right now for the way he has been treated in the past few months.
Barca have had so much success with their philosophy in the past few years that they are overdoing it now. Playing midfielders in defense and attack. What a waste of a once in a lifetime generation. Xavi, Iniesta and Messi won't come around every decade. This team should win at least 3 or 4 CL trophies. Going out in the R16 against Ambrosini, Zapata, Muntari and Mexes is not acceptable. Not with this team. Not like this.

Re: Is remontada possible?
Come on you guys, it's the Nou Camp. It'll be a different match. I voted resounding hell yes because I have a feeling that we gave them too much respect in the 1st leg. But just like the 1st leg result seemed impossible, so too will the 2nd leg result til it happens.
FC Barcelona 4-0 AC Milan
Milan will collapse defensively after the first goal or two. We're at home.
Call it what you will, I'll see you all here after the match.

LOL I watched Milan against inter yesterday.
They got this.
No way they score 0 goals, and no way we score more than 2

Re: Is remontada possible?
I like your confidence.
If we played like we did previously, and strung together a streak of 6 7 games of great performnces then I would be right with you.
But we turn it up and down too much and I dont remember the last run of performances we gave, nor big match we dominated.

Re: Is remontada possible?
To be honest, this year we haven’t been convincing against ANY big gun.
We just happen to be consistent again la liga parties.
We failed our major tests (Milan, Madrid) and at least we managed to do marginally fine in la liga
