Football here is pretty much devoid of money, so our league probably presents a good opportunity for match-fixers.

It looks as if Europol simply posted a summary of all the match fixing stuff that was already dealt with, too. The police of Bochum (who led the investigation in 2005/2009) mentioned that the cases in Germany that were brought up were the fixed matches of the Ante Ĺ apina cases in 2005 and 2009. An international football match-fixing suspect has been arrested in Italy after arriving from Singapore and giving himself up, Italian police have said.Italian media have named the suspect as a Slovenian man, Admir Sulic.Mr Sulic was arrested at Malpensa airport in Milan after stepping off a flight from Singapore, police said. They had been tipped off by his lawyer that he was on the flight, they added.
