I'm throwing in with Vidal as well, Barca had a shit season in 11/12, so did Schweinsteiger, and him and Xavi are the two most obvious contenders against Vidal.

Tbh I've always thought of B2B as a role rather than a position. Well it looks like no one is quite sure what a B2B is anymore hmm

When I first got into football, the term was used for players who made an impact in both boxes.

Someone who comes back into the box to try and stop the opponant, but still has the energy to get in the other box and scores goals.

Not many of those around, Xavi is not one of those.

Realistically, its just a role certain players have...not that many.

Ramires, Vidal, Khedira...already struggling for many more.

No because Full-Backs' basic traits involve those characteristics.I mean that is their basic game.

Have you ever heard of a creative full-back or a deep-lying fullback ? lol ..Not quite the same.Midfield positions involve diverse roles.

That definition isn't very well formulated.The term "box-to-box" is often used to refer to the most dynamic all-round/complete midfielders.So, we are talking only about midfielders.

Vidal and Yaya are the only 2 that actually play b2b for big clubs and are elite. Xavi is the better player obviously... but Barca don't play a B2B mid really.

I can't think of anyone else.
