Thiago, a midfielder?
Thiago wasn't creative at all in his ' Iniesta' role. I think he is more of a forward type of player for the front 3 of 4-3-3. He was really bad in the first 45 minutes. Pep rightfully subbed him off but why Keita? :lol!:
Whatever, the thread is about Thiago (Farca). Two majour points to discuss.
1.Is he creative enough to play in midfield?
2. Doesn't he behave more like a forward or a goal scoring AM? If yes, why doesn't Pep play him in one of the forward positions instead of introducing Keita?
discuss!

He is overrated, he rides the Messi bandwagon Play him without Xavi or Messi and he sucks...Immaculate_Mole wrote:He has been better than both this year......

Re: Thiago, a midfielder?
It must be again Cesc's fault for Barca losing points, even though he didn't play - right?

Re: Thiago, a midfielder?
What? A fan hyped a player in his team? SCANDAL!
Seriously though, Ozil and Cesc have proven themselves. This is Thiago's first proper season in top flight football. Comparing them based on what they have done is ridiculous. Thiago has a lot of potential and he has only started fulfilling it.
Which brings me to Babun's question. Thiago is creative enough to play in the midfield. His ball control and passing is excellent and he has shown maturity in his decision making that is beyond his age. He has also shown excellent movement in the midfield.
Based on this one game, you are questioning his role and his creativity and are ignoring everything he has done till now. Messi had a terrible game, but i dont see you making a similar thread about him.....

Re: Thiago, a midfielder?
@RG could attest to my claim. We have Khaledbarca and alexjanosik constantly claiming how much better Thiago is and that the duo Cex+Ozil are overratedkiranr wrote:What? A fan hyped a player in his team? SCANDAL!

Re: Thiago, a midfielder?
I think Thiago has been very good this season.
He wasn't the only player who had a poor game last night.

Re: Thiago, a midfielder?
I personally rate Thiago very highly. However he's at a stage where he has to choose what type of player he wants to be. A play dictator or an attacking midfielder.
I think he should play more centrally, he dictates play very well with the Spanish youth teams. His attacking is good but I think there are youngsters out there who are better than him at this. At CM though he has most of them beat.
