The Most Complete Midfielder
Who in your opinion is the most complete midfielder of the last 5 years?
To me it is Kaka. He can play on the right, the left, but preferably the center of the midfield. He is great at dribbling. He can score and shoot with both legs and his passes are very accurate, plus he has great vision on the pitch.

Re: The Most Complete Midfielder
Steve G is good.
What is the definition of "Eagle Vision"?
That's what a true midfielder should posses. Eagle Vision.

Re: The Most Complete Midfielder
Most complete means that he must have really good defensive skills. Kaka and Ronaldo do not fit this category at all.

Re: The Most Complete Midfielder
Stevie G was one of the best until 2009 when he had a quite outstanding season in 08-09.
Most complete of the Last 5 years-Definitely Gerrard for me.

Re: The Most Complete Midfielder
Err.Schweinsteiger has only been playing CM since the last two years.Maybe atm definitely yes.
But when we're making a valuation of the most complete midfielder(Also the best of the lot) based on 5 years/seasons i'd put Gerrard and De Rossi ahead of him.

Re: The Most Complete Midfielder
an injury free essien is right up there but he is lacking in the creativity/"Eagle Vision" department
i think lamps deserves a mention, although his pace lets him down, hes deffinately got "Eagle Vision", he can score goals and his defending is pretty good and ditto for stevie G

Ballack or Gerrad probably.
I vote Ballack though, fierce shot, great header, boss defensive work, positioning, lungs and heart of a T-800 cyborg - mofo was everywhere, and bossing it.

Kaka? Can he defend?
Two shout outs to Marchisio and Vidal. Attacking, defending, scoring, etc. they do it all

that must have been a fantastic goal , goal of the year i believe
I didnt pop up because of them i just like how 3 months of Seria A football makes u the most complete midfielders or even an honorable mention of the last five years ...

To answer your question, No. Kaka is a creator, not a destroyer or a stopper. He creates opportunities and exploits weaknesses but he relies heavily on the defensives qualities of his team mates.

Didn't read "of the last 5 years", my bad then. But still, they're 2 of the most complete players in the world at the moment.
