Cristiano Ronaldo's problem is Lionel Messi

Former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari believes that Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo would be the best player in the world but for Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Scolari, who coached Ronaldo for Portugal between 2003 and 2008, was full of praise for the Madrid striker, and admitted that people are "jealous" of him.

"Some people do not like him because he is a great player, good-looking and has sex with all the ladies. People get jealous," Scolari told Arena SporTV.

"The only bad thing about Ronaldo's life is Messi. If it was not for him, Ronaldo would be the best player in the world for five years in a row.

"He is a great person and a friend. He likes to fool around, but he is a great professional."

I like interview a couple of days ago where he says Müller would easily get into the Seleçao and Gustavo and Dante actually have a shot playing for Brazil (poor Rafinha lol)

any football player in a 1st league division in an European country is enough socially proved to make sex with "all the ladies" ... . I'm sure that there's some 2nd league footballer in Russia who has more women than him etc..
there are other reasons for not being his fan (to say it nicely.)
He's selfish on the field, he cries to the refs at every contact, he moves away from United after saying he wants to be like Ryan Giggs, he wants to have a bigger wage, after being one of the most well payed footballers in the world, he refuses to sign an autograph to a child that had barca jersey... Is this enough not to like him ?

Why do people keep saying 'if it wasn't for Messi, Ronaldo would be the best'? It's kinda like they're almost discrediting Messi.

why discrediting? it looks like a compliment, something like no one can be better than messi, so ronaldo doesn't have the chance to be 1st because there's messi...

Everybody has self to blame for the results in life... But Scolari thinks otherwise.

Cries after every contact ? Have you seen his eye in the Levante match ? He's selfish, yes but every GREAT player is.(he is much more of a team player now than he was 2 years ago, his game evolved very much with every match since his transfer in Spain)

I've seen enough of him, and his pathetic behaviour, he requests a foul at every contact and yellow cards, penalties etc ... Every GREAT player is selfish? Xavi, Scholes, Schweinsteiger, De Rossi, Gattuso, Maldini etc...yeah, indeed a bunch of selfish players...

You're clutching at straws and enticing an ultimately null argument. It's general conscious that op is viewing Ronaldo as a striker. Your argument isn't adding interest to the thread, 'delaying', as you guys always say.
