The fact that at least 10 different names have been mentioned in this thread and some quality fullbacks not even mentioned tells me theres a lot more quality at RB than people think.

Alves, Lahm, Srna, Lichtsteiner, Rafeal, Zanetti, Sagna, Adriano, Carvajal, De Sciglio and Pisczek all mentioned.

Then you have good/quality RB's like Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Zabaleta, Johnson, Debuchy, Cicinho, Iraola, Pereira, Abate, Piris, Maggio, Cuadrado, Uchida etc etc

The stance that there is a lack of quality at RB is a myth.

Zanetti is a legendary Right Back but nowadays he plays in midfield more doesn't he? Plus he's 39 now so he's not going to be in the top 5 anymore.

well.. if you watch Inter games, it's a pleasure to follow Zanetti, to see how he fights in the 90 minutes and pass other team's players with his better speed... Age didn't have a big impact on his physicality, he mentioned in an interview that he trained every day in the last 20 years of his life.

I know Zanetti is still very fast for his age and is a legend but he's not a top 5 RB anymore.

He plays more as a RM anyways

He is definintley underrated though,nearly every other team in the world he would be a starter all the time.

Same here. Don't really know who in this place that really thinks Adriano is better at RB than LB. Should be starting most games at LB given the struggle Alba is having defensively...
