1996/98 vs 2003/05 vs 2007/09 vs 2011/12

How do we stack up now compared to our prevoous sides?

Our current lineup versus:

The 1996 to 1998 CL winning squad.

The 2003 to 2005 CL finalists coaced by Lippi and then Capello.

The recent 2007-09 directly post-Calciopoli squad that came 2nd and 3rd in Serie A.

in terms of grit, not giving up,spirit and mentality 2011-2012 is the best squad ever

but in terms of quality? possibly the weakest, apart from the 2007-2009 team

No disrespect to the '96-98 team, it's just I was too young to really appreciate the team during those years. 2003-2005 is a lot fresher in my mind and that team had quality.

actually no for me its one of the strongest Juve I would say the most underrated MVP is Overpowered lol, the defense is insanly good our football to only our attack that CF ... I see them one of the strongest but couldn't call it strongest because we lack CF

Individual quality it isn't...
I mean looking at Capello's Juventus:
Nedved, Camoranesi, Del Piero, Trezeguet- these four CARRIED the team for years, even with a mediocre defense when they returned from serie b, and they were loyal warriors for the club.
Then you also had defenders like Cannavaro and Zambrotta, Thuram, Buffon in goal... a young Ibrahimovic and a player like Mutu on the bench.
This team had it all and underachieved.

This Juventus has overachieved because its attack is not even close to being in the conversation of any of the other teams mentioned.

That's just how I feel, I love Juventus' current midfield three and it is among the best but overall, individual quality goes to other squads in my opinion

I am with Luca on this one..I actually rate our current midfield higher than all of our previous sides but overall i think 2003 and 1996 teams edge the 2011/12 team for me.

I just said that this Juve is among the strongest not the strongest after 2005/2006 I think this Juve is the strongest if we had CF that can make difference player like RVP I would choose this Juve as the strongest. You can debate about that sitty defense and stuff because 4-4-2 is to protective of the defense the wingers act as backs and wingers it depends but quality wise ADP and Nedved are ireplacable and I LOVE THEM and see them as the best footballers of all time BUT now we got Pirlo Vidal and Marchisio its balanced everything what we lost in attack and wings we gained in midfield and defense ...

Agree with Luca, especially about the early 2000 team. We should have won at least 1CL with that team if only Nedved had played in the 2003 final

Bar the Milan game ,we were favorites in all other finals we lost (Dortmund '97 ,Madrid '98)..If Nedved started i'm sure we would have started as favorites for the game and most probably won it too.

We could have had 5 CL's by now
