Why is Sneijder Ostracized ?

lol his wages were the issue when we wanted to buy him last year, there was no way he was going to get more then Rooney (our highest payed player), I bet he is regretting not leaving now, probably wouldn't of had to take as big a paycut as Inter are asking him to take now, and he would be playing Champions League football too.

I could see us buying him on the cheap now, and him taking a slightly smaller pay cut then what Inter are asking him to take.

it's far fetched, but it would be a good piece of business if the price was right

QSG move is a much bigger possibility than Manu imo..

Pastore has been crap for them this season and Sneijder would relish the chance to play alongside Ibra..He even said that he was keen to play alongside Ibra back in 2009 when he was still with Inter.

Plus moving from one fashion city to another is what his wife would ideally prefer rather than the dull and gloomy English weather of Manchester for example.Just saying.

I can also see QSG going for Mou in the summer which would mean a reunion of sorts for him as well.

Wesley Sneijder is an arrogant c*nt.

I would never want him on my team if I were a manager. Just like Ibra, everything always has to be about him.

Inter don't necessarily need him anymore, so they will sell him (and he'll take a pay-cut anyway ) or he's taking a pay-cut at Inter. Either way the mercenary is going to take a pay-cut unless someone is mad enough to maintain his wages or even higher them.

Whichever Russian club is after him will pay him his money. And he'll be worth it.

I would honestly take him back at Madrid if the opportunity presented itself, but he likely wouldn't come due to the soured relationship that still exists.

i wanted to sell him after the treble season. i remember inter fans saying they wouldn't even sell him for 45m and i was saying he's no way worth that and no one will pay it

i don't like watching sneijder play anymore. i don't even know what he's like anymore, can't remember the last time i saw him play, but when i did he was selfish and arrogant and uppity beyond belief. he does not deserve his wage

Can't blame a player for not wanting a wage cut. That would be silly. Can't blame a club for not agreeing though.

He looked good at the Euros, but he doesn't seem to be doing anything at Inter.

This, apart from the Mou part. He doesn't need money and he has stated it many times that he wants to return to coach in England.


But even then it's fair to ask will PSG really fancy Sneijder. There are other, younger options available.

Oh please, Sneijder was a big part of Inter's success, especially in the Champion's League. Obviously the guys you mention played a big part (it is a team sport) but Sneijder arguably had the most crucial role in Inter's set up that year.

He's obviously not as good for Inter now but let's not re-envision history now.

Arguable at best. Pretty sure that Sneijder was a big reason behind a bunch of big results for Inter that season (like Chelsea for example).

Inter have financial issues and its been clear that we need to cut wages...

If he dosen't want to take a pay cut then we are forced to sell him...

And we can't sell a player thats injured.... so with Jan just around the corner we can't let him play unless this is sorted out...

Sneijder's contribution is overrated. For ages people had been saying "If only Inter signed an AM they would be a WC team..." and then they finally did, it worked out as expected, and they won a lot of titles. But at the same time Cambiasso, Samuel, Maicon, Lucio, Milito were all having pivotal performances as well. I feel like Sneijder gets all the credit, and sure he was important, but I don't think more important than any of the others mentioned.

They were all important

Without Lucio/Samuel/Cambiasso our defense was shit
Without Maicon we lacked width
Without Sneijder we had no connection from midfield to attack
Without Eto'o we we lacked variety
And Milito scored our biggest goals of the season..
