Vidal , Nocerino , Marchisio , Javi Martinez and Khedira , all had a better 2012 , yet somehow none of them is there and Mr.Liverpool gets innn Laughing

Very good list. My only slight concerns are Lampard and Gerrard.

If this was from last year,

WHy no Arteta, and Carrick make the list? They had better pass completion ratio than most of the players in that list. Or Alex Song for that matter. Lol but Lampard and Gerrard and now Modric do?

Haha looking at such lists sometimes i feel like football revolves only around Barca,Madrid and the Premier league..Inclusions such as Gerrard,Modric and Hazard(wouldnt have been on this list if he wasnt a Chelsea player) are testament to that.

Seriously , it's laughable Gerrard is in there . For instance , take a look at Marchisio .

He had an immense 2012 , being fundamendal for Juventus who ended up undefeated for almost the entire 2012 and Italy , where he was a vital member up untill the final .

Yet Gerrard gets in :brickwall:

My list of the 15 midfielders would be:

Iniesta,Xavi,Xabi Alonso,Sergio Busquets,Frank Ribery,Frank Lampard,Toni Kroos,Andrea Pirlo,Claudio Marchisio,Arturo Vidal,Sami Khedira,Ramires,Mesut Oezil,David Silva,Yaya Toure.

IMO
This is based on last season as well as the season ending tournament(EURO 2012).

I would have picked Gareth Barry instead of the Super England midfielders to be honest. Im probably one of the few who appreciate Barry's role in a team. Both Lamps and Gerrard have been peripheral and non factor to their teams progression/regression... So I do not honestly understand how the hell they make the list. Arteta was more important to Arsenal than Gerrard/Lamp have been for their team.

I would have picked Ramirez for Chelsea if I had to pick a midfielder for them.

I think they count Reus as a forward though, though I always find it hard to decide whether AMs are midfielders or forwards, but I guess Reus really is more of a false 9 than anything else nowadays, even if he's deployed on the wing with Dortmund...

Reus is definitely a forward....calling Reus a midfielder is like calling CR, Villa, Pedro, Suarez, Podolski or who ever else you would like to name....

I fully expect Reus to be one of the nominations in the forwards list how ever but you never know with Fifa Laughing
