Is Pastore one of the biggest flop?

Bought by PSG 42 millions €. Very good the first two months, nothing since that period.

Gets picked after Nene, Lavezzi and Menez now.

With the young brazilian Lucas Moura coming, he could slip further into the hierachy at Paris.

I still don't get how 42 millions have been spent on this player...

Never rated him. Good technical player and can be creative at times, that's about it. I'm sure he's a good training ground player but in a match situation, he's not effective. Maybe he'll do better with 2 strikers in front of him.

Well said ! and he has 2 strikers in front of him . He have a good DM ( Matuidi )behind him so he doesn't have to defend hat much and still he has no big impact of the game. We all know 43 millions was 2 much. He is worth is aroud 15 millions

Well I suppose he has been a flop...but I think he fulfilled the initial aim of their signing.

Added competitiveness and helped push them to a 2nd place finish , which in turn allowed them to sign the guys that they did. In the long run, his price tag looks absurd considering he's done little on the field to validate it, but that short accelerated development early on in the project was valuable in itself.

City spent money on what seems like 2 different sets of players...some to qualify for CL and another set to compete in the league and the CL.

PSG avoided that.

It's not as though they went out and paid 22 million for Gorcuff , hoping for some fairy tale resurgence.

Zapata despite what everyone said was average at best for Udinese.
Ramirez never was even close to the player described for Bologna aside from half a season.
Pastore? One name...Zamparini as aside from that he was more inconsistent then curdled yoghurt.

never rated him, just few tricks up his sleeves and thats about it. he can neither score or assist consistently, or would be a difference maker throughout the game.

I think he's a great talent but it clearly isn't working out in QSG like many hoped it would.

He still brings in creativity and lets Ibra stay as target man, in games Pastore doesn't play Ibra has to drop deep and play false 9 like in his 4 assists game.

I'd take him at Pool under 10m. Still better than resilient Joe Cole and magnificent Stewie Downing

He wouldn't make it into the current setup over Gerrard, Allen, Sahin, Shelvey or Henderson. As for the wings, Sterling, Suso, Assaidi and Enrique would play in front of him. Simply not a good fit for us. Besides, why trade one unused player on exorbitant wages for another player that won't be used and is on exorbitant wages?

I knew he was going to throw away his career by moving to France any way. But as some mentioned earlier, he was never a star, just a hyped up player courtesy of Zamparini.
