'Llorente not leaving Bilbao'

Athletic Bilbao owner Jusu Urrutia has tried to end speculation that Fernando Llorente will join Juventus in January.

Rumours have circulated since the summer that the Bianconeri have wanted to sign the Spain international, but the 44-year-old former midfielder has today rubbished those reports claiming that the striker will stay until his contract runs out in June 2013.

“I have read and heard a lot of things about the future of Fernando Llorente,” Calcio News have reported his saying. “But none of them are true.

“There is nothing new from our perspective – we do not want to get rid of him. The team is more competitive with Fernando.”

Llorente has struggled to establish himself in Marcelo Bielsa's side this season, failing to start a single game.

That report is terrible, even the last line about him stuggling to get in line is stupid. Don't they know it's because he wants to leave?

Also, the President is just being a stubborn d*ck. Llorente handled it well saying he felt it was the right time to move. The fans can be angry but not the President who could have gotten 15M+ for him.
