Re: Paulo Dybala
Luca wrote:Marotta reckons the Serie A giants will be powerless to keep the Dybala if he demands a move to the Nou Camp.
But he confirmed that none of Juve’s stars have release clauses in their contracts.
And that means Barca will not be able to prise away ten-cap Dybala without a fight.
The Bianconeri general manager said: “The player is the one that decides his fate, and if he wants to leave, it’ll be impossible to keep him.
“It’s crucial in a player-club relationship in Spain, but only Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic had release clauses in Italy. I’m against giving clauses to our players.
“The damage from Neymar’s transfer can’t be calculated that easily, and for me it goes beyond the €220m (£198m) Barca pocketed.
“€90m (£75m) for Higuain? This campaign was created following Pogba’s sale and we’re delighted with Higuain. Beyond all that, he’s important to our style of play.”
Reports in Italy say Chelsea are among the clubs eying 16-year-old Genoa wonderkid Pietro Pellegri.
Marotta says he has sounded out the player over a move to Juve – but has missed the chance to sign him on the cheap.

Disclaimer: sorry Devi
We've never kept players who want to leave. Dybala said he doesn't want to leave, until proven otherwise I trust him.

Re: Paulo Dybala
I do too but I also trust in it being inevitable. I just hope its in 2-3 seasons and the move results in us improving as a squad, just as other moves prior did the same.
I'm actually ok with him leaving, I don't find it disloyal to change clubs- unless its to a direct rival. And our play is becoming too dependent on him, that's a big problem and one we have not had since Pirlo because basically it means if he has a poor game, we have a poor game and you cannot have that. The only player worthy of such power is Messi.

Re: Paulo Dybala
Paulo Dybala “won’t make any promises” about staying at Juventus for life, but says it’s “an honour” to wear the number 10 shirt.
The forward was given a new contract by the Bianconeri earlier this year, and general manager Giuseppe Marotta has stated in the past that he wants to keep La Joya forever.
“I won’t make any promises, especially since it’s not just down to me,” Dybala told France Football.
“At this moment though I’m not saying: ‘this is my last year, I’m going’. I think about the present and all there is to win.
“The club suggested I play in the number 10, it’s an honour. In modern football we don’t know what the future will be, we had striking examples of that this summer.”
Dybala has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or, and he was asked if he sees a challenge between himself and Neymar once Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi retire.
“Yes, it would be a nice challenge! Messi and Ronaldo have done incredible things, but Neymar is very close to their level, he has a chance for the next Ballon d’Or.
“As for me I’m waiting, I’m working to reach that level and win personal trophies.
“When I was little, after school, when the summer came we’d gather around a camp fire. One time, we each made a wish.
“Me, I said I wanted to be the best player in the world, and therefore win the Ballon d’Or.”

I hate him

I sincerely think that Dybala would get absolutely bodied in the GOAT league. He's not a particularly fast or particularly strong player
Barca, Real, or Paris for me. I think Real is the most likely if they clean house and go a different way, maybe they sign Icardi and Dybala, that's my Nostradamus prediction

Re: Paulo Dybala
Its a non-story, I'm gonna go ahead and guess its a football italia article that translated the interview. He just gave a proper answer to the question.
Nessuna promessa.
Standard footballer answer: No promises since its not up to. Not saying that its my last season either. In today's football you never know (if staying forever or leaving), you can never say never but think of the present and try to win as much as possible.

Re: Paulo Dybala
Nah, I know. No one leaves or makes arrangements in November anyways. But he talks about his club future more than any player on Earth and to me, with our recent history, is at the very least concerning if not foreshadowing

Icardi won't be available, Suning will buy Barca before they sell Icardi.

He has a release clause, if its met and he wants to leave there is absolutely nothing that can be done, unless his contract is re-structured this season then expect there to be at the very least talk of him moving
Icardi @110M is essentially a steal in today's market

Re: Paulo Dybala
On this forum i've read Icardi wants a Zanettiesque career, that's his dream. It was a long time ago and maybe it was bs...
That being said, Dybala LIES when he says "my future is not just down on me". But we have to understand his point of view, he don't want to embarass himself or Juve, so he says imprecise things about wearing #10 (which is only marketing) and transfer market.

juve_gigi wrote:Juve will pay him and he will stay. He is not a mercenary like dab boy. Once we win the Champions League why would he want to leave to go to an inferior club like Barca or ManU? And he has no position at Madrid.
He will be our Del Piero. We will have the money to pay him. He will become a Juventino legend. The new Messi. Forza Juve!!!!
My grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 24, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because reading this gave me cancer anyway.

I don't think he fits in well at Barca but wouldn't mind a cheeky Spurs bid. Why play in Serie Zzzz and know you have no shot at a CL when you could be playing in the GOAT league with a team that beat 2 time CL holders imo
