Pretty sure Tottenham's lifetime achievement award is in fact finishing second and were talking about them like they're a legit team when they aren't even bigger than Napoli

Oh how the tables have turned

Re: Paulo Dybala
Really concerned over Dybala, a brief timelime:
-Started the season in record breaking fashion for the first 8-10 games
-Since then he's been a corpse
-0 goals in the CL off 28-30 shots [can't remember the exact number but it was the worst in Europe]
-Missed two crucial penalties in Serie A: to win against Atalanta and to draw with Lazio
-His own interview discussing how the life of a footballer is sad
-Nedved's interview discussing how Dybala needs to be more professional
-Marrotta and Allegri speaking similarly
-Dybala benched versus Inter, a healthy Dybala, this would be like Messi dropped against Real Madrid
Benched again today against Bologna and came on in the 72nd minute after Mandzukic got injured and honestly, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he seemed off. You could see it in his face and body language on the field. He had an opportunity to pass to Higuain for a free goal but instead shot and missed and Higuain looked pissed [but to be fair, he always does in this situations]
What do you guys think? Is there anything to this?
I think there is something there. I'm not sure if its between Allegri and Dybala or Dybala and the hierarchy, or Dybala and the players or a combination of these things. There are players like Matuidi and Mandzukic who literally make the starting 11 because of their workrate. I've never questioned that part of Dybala's game until very recently. At the start of the season, every play went through him and he was scoring out of this world goals and making amazing assists, since then he's gone ice cold for his standards.
I thought he played a great game against Napoli, assisting the winner and digging in defensively. I thought this was a redeeming game. Then he started against Olympiacos and played bang average before being benched against Inter and now Bologna. The Inter game is very strange, to bench your fit #10 in basically the biggest Serie A match of the season, to that point.

Re: Paulo Dybala
I never really bought into the Dybala hype, i had to pay attention to it, but watching him, albeit not as much as Juve fans, I never really quite saw it. I should have been watching Salah ffs.
this is an odd one because his behaviour is consistent to a guy who wants to leave and was wronged, but that's not the case at all and he actually started the season quite well, living up the n10 on his back.
But bottom line is, while he might be a talented player, he is just a kid who is going to be inconsistent. I know in every youngster we see the best of the best, but maybe he just is never gonna be that.
I hope Juve are thinking about diversifying their attacking talents (i think you are with that kid from fiorentina) because putting all your eggs in the Dybala basket thinking he will marshall the club like Del Piero before or the CR/Messi/Nerman today is not going to happen

I honestly think we are in for him this summer, so I hope he has an inconsistent season to lower the cost

I don't think anyone buys into this. Don't let the #10 fool you, it is a great honour an shows the faith and belief in Dybala, but all of our #10s since Del Piero, quite quickly left. It's becoming the Professor of the Dark Arts role in Harry Potter novels.
To this point, we invested quite heavily in attacking talents: Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa were not cheap buys. Pjaca who showed so much promise is still around, made the bench today for the first time since his injury and Cuadrado has surprisingly, been very reliable.

Definitely won't be sold at a discount. He'll score some brace in the World Cup group stage against Nigeria or something and that alone we'll ensure a 120M+ sell, he only just extended his contract and has no release clause. Not to mention, English teams aren't known for being stingy but just the opposite.
Also, I think the Prem and a manager like Mourinho would be a disastrous fit for him. He's not exactly physically gifted either.

Re: Paulo Dybala
So how about that Dybala guy?
Comes back after 40 days out and scores against Lazio, Spurs and Udinese in a week. Just surpassed his goal mark from all of last season even after the long injury.

Re: Paulo Dybala
imagine ostracizing Higgy and Dybala for a washed up Ronaldo
some elite team is gonna jump in for Dybala and Juve (as usual) will sell..I could see it being in January even
I still don't think he's suited to the prem but I hope we go for him..I used to think he was Madrid bound but I don't think he's shown enough quality to warrant them dropping silly money on him tbh

Nah, he was rotated last season. Even benched against Inter which is the game of the most historical significance in Serie A

Re: Paulo Dybala
yeah but wasn't that because of poor form or some attitude issue? I definitely remember a slump last season when Juve fans were criticizing him (that he eventually bounced back from) this seems like a move entirely motivated by synergy or lack of it, with CR7

Re: Paulo Dybala
we are not going to drop silly money on this type of player. I'm sure some team in england will love doing that, like chelsea, he would fit well the Sarriball

if Sarri is doing well come Jan/next summer I'm sure they would actually greenlight some purchase and send Morata home too

Yes, indeed. Dybala was poor in the first match though, along with Douglas Costa and Cuadrado who were all dropped against Lazio, and Cuadrado is now in the line up in right back today instead of in attack. Against Chievo, both Mandzukic and Bernardeschi changed the game when they came on and against Lazio, they started and played well again. Allegri, as usual, plays whoever is performing.
Harsh on Dybala since we want to see him with Cristiano but it's also only the third game of the season and we have a big squad. I can't say I'm upset to see Allegri reward Bernardeschi or Mandzukic for their strong play and Cristiano will very rarely be dropped mind you, and he's been excellent in any case

Re: Paulo Dybala
Didn't I make this point on your forum and you lads got mad at me? this is it right here unfolding, although, some agreed Dybala would be benched...
He needs to improve, it's like he is stuck in 2016 living off Messi's comparisons and the goals he score vs barca in CL. he isnt all that yet

He had his best season last season and was still benched, numerous times lmao
If your point is that CR7 is the reason he's been dropped then you simply have no point

Re: Paulo Dybala
when i said this guy would struggle to exist a Juve when they signed CR, 99% Juve fans attacked me
Now he can't get on the pitch, storms to the locker room before the end of a game, and even Pirlo talks about Juve potentially selling him

Last 6 Serie A games:
Didn't play v Parma
Started v Lazio
Started v Chievo
Started v Atalanta
Started v Roma
Started v Torino
Whatever he is allegedly upset about, doubt it's playing time.
