This will most probably be our team. After reading that Manchester City haven't lost a game at home since 2008 I'll just say that I would take a point quite gladly
Klopp also said that we'll approach the game differently than how we do in away Buli matches, so that's another thing to discuss.
Predictions, discussions, teams etc...

We saw "the real" Dortmund against BMG, if they can recreate that at the Etihad they have a good shot at pulling an upset.

Tough game, the most BVB could get is a draw.
Would love to see BVB beat City.

Il wager City to win. Comfortable 3-1 in favor of City

I don't think Kloppo trusts Bender ahead of captain Kehl in such a big game.

Can someone tell me about Kuba? Strength and weaknesses?
I'm predicting a 2-1 for dortmund.

Lewandowski is in very poor form. I would star the same team which won 5-0 against BMG
Maybe one or two changes in midfield but that would be it. Gotze + Reus clicked fantastically well. Would love to see that again

Like all Poles on Dortmund he has his strengths in technique and pace, and his weaknesses in finishing.
His high crosses are horribly bad, the low ones are pretty good, he's a good all-round winger, but TBH would 100% be benched if Kagawa was still at Dortmund.
If Gündogan, Götze and Reus start together, Dortmund have a shot at this.
I'm thinking scoring draw, though, or maybe even a City win. I'll be rooting for Dortmund in this match, but realistically, even one point would be a great outcome. City has an incredible home form.

Kuba is a right winger who can basically do a bit of everything and that's why he's one of my favourite players at the moment.
Makes good runs, is a good one on one dribbler, assists and scores here and there, helps the right-back in defending, has good stamina and is a hard-worker.
Last season he was meant to rotate with Götze but with Götze's injuries he played a lot while scoring 6 goals and assisting 10 times. Now he's a first team player with Kagawa gone.
If I had to compare him with someone style-wise it would be Arsenal's Ljungberg.

Uhhh, city lost to Villa at home the other week.

Need a stream for this game since sopcast has become so unreliable for me these days, no idea why.
Please post one as soon as one comes online ! Any will do, but HD would be extra appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

That was in the league cup and City basically played a reserve team and it was in extra time....
They have not lost at home in a very long time hell they only dropped points once last season in a draw with Sunderland.
In fact the last time they lost at home in the league was December 2010.

Dortmund wont win
They might nick a draw but City are very solid at home so I think a win is highly unlikely

City will batter them in my opinion.
I watched the Borussia (derby?) and they were all over the place defensively.
Can see Aguero running riot.

Re: 'Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund' discussion thread!
Bender was really great last season sad to see that injury has sidelined him from the pitch, but Kehl and Gundogan are currently in better form than him.
City is not playing so good in the UCL and i won't be surprised if Dortmund scores first, they have chance in this match. Remmember Villareal or Napoli from last season at Ittihad.
And i must say I just registered and i really like your forum.

You're welcome
For the sake of my bet I hope that City scores in both halves, but honesty I'd like a Dortmund win. So 2 - 3 to Germany

Re: 'Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund' discussion thread!
I really hope Dortmund win, but it may turn out a slim City win from a corner or something.
Dortmund really struggled against Ajax at home, imagine against City away, not that City is as good of a possession team as Ajax but still its going to take alot to get a win away if we are to go by their game against Ajax and past European games

I just hope Dortmund will put more effort into today's match than Bayern did yesterday. As long as the BVB fights, I'll be fine with the result.
