It's kinda like Xavi vs Iniesta.
Cazorla's a bit better, however Wilshere has a lot of potential.

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
what mt said. It's like xavi ( but 13 years younger ) vs iniesta
Cazorla is obviously better atm, established Spanish international. At his peak. Wilshere is just starting

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
come on, this comparison makes no sense. wilshire though he has great potential is just starting out, while cazorla is one of the best midfielders in europe.

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
Wilshere isnt like xavi, apart from being great technically and very aware on the pitch. One of his biggest strengths is dribbling the ball forward. Watch him, hes always looking for a gap to carry the ball forward, then if there isnt one he passes it. This is obviously different to xavi.
As for wilshere vs cazorla, i dont know, he might be young, but i thought he had a better season than fabregas 2 years ago, maybe he will outshine cazorla as well.

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
Xavi can't find space to bring the ball forward? I know we all laugh at the certain times Barcelona back pass or side pass, but come on...

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
I didnt say that. Im saying wilshere is constantly looking for the opportunity to dribble, xavi looks for that less often, its not a critisism of either player, im just commenting on how their styles are different.

If you mean that Wilshere is more direct... most definitely. He's a little nuke train, filled of energy.

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
I guess I'm the only one who prefers Wilshere.I think he is more consistent(when he isnt injured) and his passing and dribbling is better imo Cazorla has much better finishing and experience

No it isn't far better if it is better at all.imo Wilshere has better composure and decision making, he does the right thing like 90% of the time when it comes to passing.Just watch the Barca games and that will speak by itselfLord Hades wrote:cazorla's passing is far better than wilshire's

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
Wilshere is great guys, I agree there. But give credit where it's due. Cazorla is one of the best midfielders in the world, and you guy are talking like he couldn't clean Wilshere's boots. Jack might have the potential to be greater than Cazorla but currently it's not even close to Cazorla.
Wilshere comes back after 17 months and plays 60 minutes and people are wanking like he's won England the world cup. Cazorla and it's not even close. Start the comparisons when Wilshere puts 10 consecutive performances together, it's way too premature now.

Yes. Wilshere is a good player, but he's overhyped. 60 minutes and now he's world class again.

I dont think anyone suggested caz cant clean his boots.
I agree with what ganso said actually. Especially about his passing, cazorla does sometimes make things over complicated for himself and that doesnt help, wilshere always chooses the right option with his pass instead of hanging onto it too long

Poor form can play with your mind. I'm not saying Wilshere isn't better because I LOVE Wilshere but now is not the time to make a conclusive decision.

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
Wilsheres just off the back of a serious injury, wenger didnt even expect him to play well until february. Seems if anything wilshere will just get better tbh, cazorlas hasnt really got an excuse to be playing worse than him really

Re: Wilshere vs Cazorla
Our best playmaker is Rosicky. There's a reason he was our best player at the end of last season
Our most important midfielder (if not injured 99% of the time) is Diaby, mainly because we have no other midfielder who can adequately do the job he would do if he was fit
As for the debate at hand, right now, like RG said, Wilshere>Cazorla. We can't really judge this until we have a balanced midfield where both can actually thrive though. Right now, our formula is not working out.
