Didn't know repeated the Werder Bremen one again later on. That was a stroke of genius! Going under the wall

Re: All 54 Ronaldinho Freekicks!
According to Wikipedia, Juninho scored 44 free kicks for Lyon. Would be nice to know how many free kicks he has scored with other clubs, but I doubt that he surpasses widely the 54 mark.
That would make Ronaldinho the best free kick taker of all time IMO, as he surely shot much less than Juninho.

Re: All 54 Ronaldinho Freekicks!
Juninho scored 4 freekicks in his NT so that puts it to 48, 6 freekicks for Vasco in 2011 and 2012 so that's 54 goals already. And I'm sure that the other 201 games he played puts him well above Ronaldinho.free_cat wrote:According to Wikipedia, Juninho scored 44 free kicks for Lyon. And actually Juninho is well known from his extremely high conversion rate, some stating even 50% for his Lyon time.
Ronaldinho is up there with the best ever, but Juninho is the undisputed king of freekicks, surely.

Re: All 54 Ronaldinho Freekicks!
It is impossible that Juninho had a 50% conversion rate.
Even though he probably scored some more free-kicks than Ronaldinho, that wouldn't mean he was a better free-kick taker, as he surely shot a lot more free-kicks. Barça plays long free kicks and side free-kicks in short, while Juninho shooted everything (another reason why it's impossible he had a 50% conversion rate with Lyon).
Also, Juninho wasn't even Brasil's first free-kick taker, that was usually Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo or Ronaldinho (mostly because he wasn't starter, but still).

So him be able to score anywhere from the pitch makes him worse than Ronaldinho?free_cat wrote:It is impossible that Juninho had a 50% conversion rate.

Re: All 54 Ronaldinho Freekicks!
Ronaldinho could also score from everywhere, as proven by several free kicks in this video where he scores from side angles or very long shots. He just tried them way much less than Juninho.

Re: All 54 Ronaldinho Freekicks!
Juninho scored further and he scored wider, he was master both bending it and knuckling it. He scored more, in less games, 1 in every 10 vs. 1 in every 14 games, and like you said he didn't even get that much chances in Brazil.

Re: All 54 Ronaldinho Freekicks!
I remember the one in the Germany friendly - everyone was setting up for a R. Carlos cannon but then Ronaldo just dinked it over the wall - the kick itself looked cheeky.
