Napoli and Atletico Madrid
I can't say too much abt atletico since ive only seen em a handful of times. Napoli though are in with areal shot i think. They'll always do well against the big teams which come out to attack and play open. Their downfall last term was against provincial sides which bunkered down, and the blues had trouble creating chances of their own. This term though theyve been finding ways to eke out wins. with more creative players like insigne and vargas, and no cl distraction i think they can go far.

Atletico , Napoli will challenge but they just don't have the depth and the experience.

Atletico just have to keep winning and see where they end up. They're facing Malaga next in the league.

Re: Napoli and Atletico Madrid
A team other than Barca or Madrid winning the league? Yeah...
Napoli might have a chance if they go out of Europa fast and focus solely on the league. With Juve now fighting on local and CL fronts, it might take a toll on them and see them slipping a few points.

Atletico can only really finish third. They just are not good enough for first.

Re: Napoli and Atletico Madrid
for atletico finishing 3rd would be like winning a trophy
as for Napoli, its not beyond them, but its very very unlikely

they have done it before so no it wouldn't be like winning a trophy, but winning the madrid derby would be so

Re: Napoli and Atletico Madrid
Napoli are well aware that they may never have a better chance to win a Scudetto. The combination of such added motivation with a squad who already pride themselves on their spirit can make for a very powerful force. The majority of the Napoli squad have been playing together for years and know each other very well, whilst reinforcements such as Behrami have settled in very well. With Insigne and Vargas, they have excellent depth with which to cover their front line, however the main issue will be their defence, traditionally weak at dealing with set pieces - though this has yet to be capitalised on by an opponent this season - and hoping that the loaning out of Gargano doesn't later rob them of crucial midfield depth.
Juventus have strengthened and are rightly favourites, however Napoli are certainly capable of challenging them at the least, though I do not expect their defence to hold up for the entire season sadly. I really hope they win this year though, it would be amazing for the city.

Re: Napoli and Atletico Madrid
Napoli have started well, and despite losing a quality player in Lavezzi, have as good a shot at challenging Juventus for the title as any other team in the league I think. At the very least, we'll be seeing them back in the Champions League next year, which will be great.
Atletico pretty much have no chance. They play great football, and have arguably the best outright forward in the world at the moment in Falcao, but he isn't enough to carry them to La Liga glory over the 'El Clasico' giants. Real might be off the pace a bit at the moment, but their squad strength is immense, and it's difficult to see anything other than Real and Barca in the top 2 once again. And depending on the respective fortunes of certain mega-rich teams, there's no guarantees their talismanic Colombian will still be with them at the end of January

Why did Napoli loan out Gargano?

Re: Napoli and Atletico Madrid
I've said a bunch of times. Atleti can beat any team in the world on their day. Their problem has always been about consistency. I really think they will do well in the league this year, but I'll reserve judgement about how well they'll do when things start clearing up in terms of the league table.
They have a decent defence, a good midfield and a great attack and they're doing the right things so far, so who knows.

16 – The last time Atletico Madrid picked up 16 points after their first six league games, they won both the league and the cup. Come-back
