"Spanish League is more competitive than Premier" - Cesc Fabregas

Don't see what's wrong with what he said. You have more room for error in other leagues. In La Liga you have none, because you have two super-teams. That being said it makes the league harder, not "competitive", if we define competitive as the ability of a scrub team to beat a big team. But that might just be an issue of semantics or (likelier) from whoever translated that.

I can't believe people on here still buying into threads like these. I should make one up a day just for fun to see the generic responses that come back.

It would go something like this...

"X said that Y league is better than Z league!!!"

- Comment 1: LOL
- Comment 2: What the hell was X thinking saying that?
- Comment 3: X secretly wants out of that league.
- Comment 4: Players T, U and V said the opposite.
- Comment 5: X is a hypocrite.
- Comment 6: Disagrees with X. There are more top teams in Y league.
- Comment 7: Disagrees with comment 6. Uses an example to prove their point.
- Comment 8: Reveals a secret, unrelated grudge by pointing out an obscure part of the interview.
- Comment 9: Y league is only competitive at the very top.
- Comment 10: Z league is overrated. Uses example from European competition.
- Comment 11: Fan of team used in comment 10's European example gets angry.
- Comment 12: League B is the best.
- Comment 13: X is clearly right. League Y is the best when it comes to everything that is important.
- Comment 14: Let me make my own list of what I think is important.
- Comment 15: Why does having club R in league Y make it better?
- Comment 16: Well, club R isn't in league Z, that's for sure.
- Comment 17: League Z is more entertaining.
- Comment 18: What does 'competitive' even mean?
- Comment 19: The translation is wrong.
- Comment 20: This conversation is going nowhere... but I think league Z is better.

cesc sounded like an idiot there. even if la liga were the most competitive league, his rationale and logic was so poor to make the argument that it's a joke

the fact that you need 90 points to win the league just means there is only competition in the top 2 spots because those 2 teams just wax the rest of the competition.

so really its a point against competition tbh.

Ask the rest of La Liga teams and they tell you about competitiveness.

I wonder why we havent seen a strike yet from the rest vs big 2?

When there is 30 points between 2nd and 3rd I wouldn't call that competitive.
The top two teams are competitive but there is no one else who is even close to contending.
