300-400 mil euros for name on shirt for 4 years. Not in this article... but naming right of Park des Princes is expected to come in at over 1 billion euros.
There goes FFP

Re: PSG new sponsors
Thing is they let City get away with it last year. So they set that precedent. They can't change it now...
It's not like Ligue 1 teams are backing down from PSG anyhow. It's going to be a fight imo.
Btw Crimson, your Reims team are the gutsiest team in Ligue 1. They have nobody and yet play great. Always said that Ligue 2 is really good in France. Best second division out there. When those teams come up, they have a legit chance of sticking.

Too true City are dogs as well
Yeah what they don't have in known names they make up for in gritty determination, really hoping they stay up, might go visit my Aunt if they do and actually watch on of their games.

That stadium is a work of art. The whole city of course... but for footy fans, they just renovated the Stade Auguste Delaune that was founded in the 30s and Stade de Reims was a CL finalist twice in its history. Raymond Kopa comes from there.
Reims is a must see town in France.

Man City's deal isn't comparable.
Man City got 400m pounds for a 10 year extension of shirt sponsorship, stadium naming rights, as well as naming rights for the newly developed training ground...
You really gonna try to argue that its the same as 300-400m Euros over 4 years for shirt sponsorship alone?

Re: PSG new sponsors
Compare the size and reach of the population of Paris and the city of Manchester. They're all over the press, the city and the country. It's like comparing the size of a peanut to a watermelon in terms of market size and reach.
That's how sponsor value is measured. Market size and market demographics.
I should also mention that Parisians are more wealthy than Mancs

Re: PSG new sponsors
If it's really 300m (or 400m, is this just speculation or why not an exact number? 100m is quite a difference.) for 4 years, I'd expect UEFA to size it down on Fair Value basis.

Re: PSG new sponsors
UEFA will NEVER look into those things, money laundering was and will always be in football, FFP will only tax it this time around but not stop it.Crimson wrote:Such bs didn't UEFA say they would be looking at things like this?
When seeing the amount of money pumped into football clubs, FIFA drooled over it and thought how can we tax that sh!t? A very clever answer is FFP:

Youre thinking too small...Compare EPL market size and demographics to Ligue 1 - not even a contest

Re: PSG new sponsors
The article says the deal is in "advanced discussions". Lets not count our chickens until they hatch.
L'equipe says the deal is from a Qatari bank, if they are in control of the PSG owners they would be violating FFP.
As far as i can see, PSG are fuxed anyways because of this last window spending. They should in no way be able to play next season.
