Re: Genoa - Juventus
Conte really needs to sort the back 3 out! I am sure they will be better with Licht and Asamoah as wing backs and Vidal back in the middle but they were piss poor in a lot of ways today!

Dont think hell be world class but certainly will be an excellent player if he keep this up
Good news for us - we can buy him back (but im sure Genoa will demand atleast $10mill for their half of Immobile)

Re: Genoa - Juventus
Giaccherini has run like a bitch today! Really redeemed himself in the secong half! Giovinco is a top player but he needs a top player like Vucinic upfront to link up with! Matri needs to be gone in January! Hopefully Bendtner will sort out his attitude and become a good signing!

All in all...Giaccherini as always, shut's up his critics which I am glad!
He really does have quality & could be a starter at most club in the league at this particular moment...

Maybe world class is an exaggeration but I think he will be one of the best strikers in serie a by next season! He is still so young!

I agree...Chiellini still isn't fully & it shows while Barzagli is not his best..
To be honest, Bonucci was the best defender today...
He made some great blocks like the one on Borriello which could've easily been 2-0

We cant score without Vucinic. That's really sad thing coz he cant be fit for the whole season.

I think Giovinco will only get better as the season goes but Vucinic is a cracking player! Him and Vidal are my favourite players! Vucinic was a great signing by Marotta...I still can't believe Roma sold him to a rival

Genoa are a very good side at home and last season we drew with them on both occasions! One player who we need back though is Pepe! We need his fighting character, energy and never ending pressing...he really does run his opposing players into the ground!

And you would play Pepe over Lichtsteiner or Asamoah?
The only place Pepe would have would be in place of Giaccherini today, as a midfielder.
In which case, I'd rather see a healthy Isla and see what he can do

really...U would've tried Isla in a match like that?
Genoa could've easily won...
Giaccherini was brilliant today...
Pepe could've started over Caceres today & then Lichtsteiner come on...
Also, with Caceres & Lichtsteiner, maybe we should use Isla as a CM for depth...
A midfield on Marrone---Pogba----Isla doesn't seem bad (now

No, that's not what I meant in relation to Isla. I just mean I want to see him play, didn't mean today, although if he was ready I don't see why not. Caceres was just off injury and looked very rusty. Isla could have started as the RWB and then been replaced by Lichtsteiner just the same, or Isla could have started on the left, or through the middle.
And yeah, that midfield looks good
Is Pepe even fit though? Last I heard is he was injured

Re: Genoa - Juventus
Didn't see Pepe all of pre season.. I assumed it was cause of the trial and tbh I kinda forgot about him.. But he could definitely be used, since our wingers do so much that they almost need to be rested every other game. He can cover either wing play up front with the strikers in a 433
I love how many options we have in certain positions, which is thanks to the versatility of some players like Pepe, giacc, asamoah, caceres etc

Pepe got injured roughly at the same time that Caceres did I believe, ankle sprain or something.
