You see what happens when English teams try to go play head to head against good Spanish teams, they get demolished.

Chelsea needed to stick to what got them there and parked the bus.

I hope this game plus the Bilbao vs Man United games last year will teach some of you premfaces that Spanish teams go at you every game and DO NOT park the bus until Mou got there anyways.

They are always ready to take anyone head on and sometimes it means they get crushed and other times when teams are not used to playing real football they will kick there ass with there technique and quality.

Now maybe you guys can see what us La Liga fans were saying last year about how Mata was not some superstar in La Liga that he was an above average player but by no means elite but in the EPL he is because there is such a lack of vision and technique in the EPL.

the medical staff is working very well at atletico too, i thought that only cycling,tennis and spain's big two ...

Anyway, chelsea is the CL winner, well deserved... They defended like heroes with barcelona, thay beat bayern in munich, they beat napoli after being down with 2 goals... They're true fighters, and deserve all credit for CL campaign!

Just because Spain's big 2 dominate laliga, doesnt mean laliga is like Scottish league. Spanish teams are very technical and creative. If you dont physically dominate them, you will be punished.

Stats speak for themselves;

Champions League: 2006,2009, 2011 -- Barca
Europa League: Sevilla - 2006, 2007, Atletico Madrid - 2010, 2012

Thats the problem, when people look at La Liga all they see is the sunny SPL and a two team league. But unlike the SPL the gap isn't big because the rest suck, but because Barca and Real Madrid are amazing. Seriously, these Barca and Madrid teams will go down as two of the best squads of all time.

Teams like Bilbao and Athletico show that there is large strength in depth in La Liga.

I sat here and tried to think what you meant by this post and who you were even responding to and have absolutely no clue about either.

But now in the last couple months you have seen two teams in La Liga that failed to qualify for the CL and one even finished in 10th place totally demolish two of your best teams.

I mean it wasn't even close, and the quality of football was like watching a football team playing a rugby team.

Thats how far apart the technical skills were in those three games.

True but a lot of people think that the winner of La Liga would win any other league as well and if you go by the results of Barca demolishing United Twice, City and United getting knocked out of the group stage of the CL Last year and then the likes of Bilbao and Atletico demolishing top 4 EPL teams what he's saying is pretty much correct.

Not to mention Madrid killing Spurs in the CL two years ago.

But yes your right, and I agree kind of with your OP this MAdrid team as constructed really hasn't won much and try to hang on Barca's coat tales when league debates start up.

But you kind of have to agree that this last 5 years of BArca's team will go down in history as one of the best teams ever but MAdrid no although they could probably win any other leage since Mou has been there.

a lot of people think doesn't mean that a lot of people is right... we have the facts: chelsea was better in 10 men than barcelona at Camp nou.. Bayern> Madrid

it's a stupid argument: 6th place in spain beat the 2nd in EPL... 6th place in Serie A beat EPL winners.. 6th epl team won the ucl..

EPL teams spend tones of money(all) and have most spectecular league, great fan support etc.. And Man utd, chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham proved that they are big teams in the european competitions.

Here we go, internet tuff guy. I said in my first post Chelsea should have stuck to what got them there and parked the bus as that's how they beat Barca.

If they played this open against Barca it may have been 10-0. And I love how certain people on this forum always choose which games "count" and which don't.

A trophy was on the line today, Chelsea put one of there strongest squads out with the intent to win but they got there ass handed to them just like Man U last year against Bilbao and then we had to hear from people like you that they weren't trying and the game didn't "count".

I said it looked like a football team playing a rugby team as Chelsea could barely complete a pass or get a shot on goal in a WIDE OPEN game. They certainly didn't look like a football team, did they? Were they playing good football against a team in which people usually joke around and call Pathetico?

As for Liverpool beating Madrid 4-0 both teams were totally different then they are today. I will post Liverpool's staring team that day and tell me what you notice about the spine of there team and what has happened to them since most of them left.

Liverpool: Reina, Arbeloa, Skrtel, Carragher, Aurelio, Alonso, Mascherano, Kuyt, Gerrard (c), Babel, Torres.

Manager- Rafa Benitez.

Geez, there all Spanish with a Spanish coach. They have really taken off since they got rid of almost all there Spanish players, haven't they? I won't even mention that the rest are pretty much Dutch, Argentine, and Brazilian, you know countries that teach there players how to play football.

But nice try, all the Liverpool example does is enforce my point even more.

When were these chances that you speak of?Also Sacchis Milan team is regarded by some people as the best team of all time,however they failed to win Seria A 3 times in a row.I guess they suck too.

@ dnmac mata scored as much goals and assists in laliga as he is doing in the epl. How was he not rated highly in laliga when he was creating and scoring 15+ goal every season Neutral
