Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
http://www.fcinternews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=48762
For those who dont speak Italian. He pretty much rejected a move to Russia as his wife is pregnant and they want to remain in Italy.. He also adds that he will definately leave this summer with Inter being his likely destination.
My view: Cash in on Maicon, seal the Nagatomo deal and switch him to the right with criscito on the left. Leave Santon away for another year

Re: Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
Sounds ideal to be honest
With Maicon shipped off we won't have to handicap our midfield options by having Zanetti playing right midfield all the time
I think Santon deserves a shot though...Not sure I'm a fan of sending him away for another year
Don't want him turning out like Giovinco and resenting us...

Re: Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
he's still young, he can do with more time on loan.. Giovinco was rotting on the Juve bench.. he's not as young as many think.. 24 if im not mistaken.. I know he's young but hardly a prospect any more.
If we dont send him away on loan, he needs to start and i dont think he is ready.. i say send him away to get his 30 games a season

I can see city wanting him, yes. Madrid might still want him... probably not for anywhere near the 30 mill we were talking about last year

Re: Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
Agreed...We wont pull nearly what we could have last year
But I definitely think there are a LOT of teams out there who would take Maicon for 10-15 mil

Despite his form, 10-15 mill is a steal.. i say he will go for 20+

If Criscito does come will it definitely seal maicon's fate? .. i suppose there wouldn't be much room for him.

Re: Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
i like criscito ... very sound in defence.. he is useful going up as well.. not a destructive force in attack by any means.. think Fabio Grosso in his prime

Speaking of Fabio Grosso, you can take him from us for free! Don't you guys like free stuff?
Criscito? He's the one that got away from us, our fans were too harsh on him and the guy didn't want to come back because of that. Good player, and he's Italian which is very good for you guys. Personally I'd rather see him at a club other than Inter, because of his Juventus links but that's irrelevant now I suppose.

Should be a good transfer if it happens. As for Maicon my boy Mancio would bail us out

Re: Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
Criscito's instruction as a youngster was as a sweeper, and he has at times been used as a centre-half for Genoa in the past two seasons quite effectively. Not physically dominant however he's intelligent and just needs a bit of fine tuning, I consider him Italy's best left back at the moment and in truth I'm disappointed to hear that he is likely going to Inter, however congratulations if this is true.
From an attacking perspective Criscito's greatest asset - and in some ways the reason for his comparion to Grosso - is his ability as a ball carrier through close control. Criscito does not possess lightning pace to beat a marker, however he has the best dribbling skills of any Italian full back in the top flight, exhibiting quick, close control. How effective he is offensively depends on the team itself which has led to some harsh criticism previously.
At the World Cup when Italy's front line and midfield exhibited very little movement Criscito was rendered entirely ineffective as an attacking outlet, however as a partner to Palacio and Floro Flores at Genoa he has tallied an impressive number of assists when supported, and his potential for linking up with Eto'o and Sneijder is fantastic.
Defensively he requires a bit of fine tuning and his European competition experience is limited though he has at the very least been exposed to international football, he's worth any time and effort required to bring him up to an elite level. Genoa have a good relationship with both Milanese teams, I expect with the inclusion of youth players you might acquire him for around 10-12 million, up to 15 if you wish to hold onto the full rights of your prospects.

Re: Criscito : I'm going to Inter.
Im unconcerned with some of the criticism involving his attacking play
Having two classic attacking fullbacks is too dangerous...I prefer someone like Criscito who doesn't always race into the attacking phase, but rather attacks intelligently and is more rarely out of position..... vs someone like nagatomo who sometimes just sprints up and down the line without any actual purpose and gets caught out a little too often for my liking
You can have one over-zealous attacking fullback, but you can't have two unless you are going to pack your midfield with defensive minded players

Sorry, tried to reply earlier but it didnt post i dont think.
I wasnt saying they were similar overall. I meant his attack was as effective as Grosso going forward.. Which was good but he wont be the most feared full back any time soon

Preziosi confirms that Inter is the certain destination for Criscito .
We just need to reach a deal
