Re: Transfer Rumors
He’s under 20 so it’s too early to say what will become of him.
Anyway let’s’ wait and see if he actually signs

Mundo Deportivo was right for Sanchez
By jove cholla, they were right about Cesc also. That's what Arsenal have confirmed - just one offer of E29m. They might have missed the variable component which means the exact same amount. We need to follow what these guys say carefully as they seem to talk more sense than most others.

6. Jeffren, waiting for good offer.
7. Bojan to Roma almost done.
8. Sanchez signed.
9. Official bid for Fabregas.
10. Caceres to Sevilla
11. Sanchez to Xamas with buy-back option until 31. January 2012.
12. Keirrison, Hleb back from loan.

16. Vasquez to club Brugge.
Excellent summary. I am astonished you remember all that so vividly.

Barcelona have improved their offer for Cesc Fabregas to €35M + €2M in variables. Arsenal still ask for €40M #fcblive [sport]

He’s just 22 after all. So much room for improvement.
P.S.
I was really sad Romeu left.
I always liked the kid
he will comeback trust me
anyway, according to spanish newspapers, Romeu's deal is the following:
Chelsea will have to pay 5M euros. Barcelona will have an option to buyback Oriol Romeu from Chelsea for 8m euros over the next 2 years.
gd deal imo, we can have a replacement for Villa & Masch ready in 2 years now

More Rumours:
- Barcelona are still interested in signing goalkeeper Esteban Andrada (20) from Argentinean club Lanus.
- Barcelona have offered to sign Boca Juniors forward Sergio Araujo on loan for the B-team, with a buy option.

Andrada is a very promising talent, hopefully the rumors are true and he makes the cut. Goodness knows we need a good keeper.
Araujo on the other hand is not a good idea. I don't think he will be a good striker. Ferreyra(River plate) would be better or we should heavily consider getting Iturbe from Porto

So true man. Quite a few times I have thought Valdes should have been Argentine.

I read something similar and if this is true as seems likely then I would say raising the offer from E29m to E35m means we are very serious about signing him and the chances of this happening this summer have once again increased a lot.

Re: Transfer Rumors
Update: Cesc to Barca
Barcelona's final 36M bid for Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas could become the 40M Arsenal ask with the help of the player. Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas (24) is willing to accept another paycut so the money can be added to Barcelona's last bid for him. [rac1]

Cesc taking a massive paycut. 4 million euros is a lot of money and this means he is damn serious about moving to Barcelona.

Re: Transfer Rumors
Seeing how much interest Xavi is taking in trying to get Fabregas to Barcelona makes me kind of conclude two significant points. One is that Xavi's love for Barcelona goes beyond the self. Today I read a comment of his which said that he expected to retire within two, three or four years. So it's clear that he sees Fabregas as the right player to step into his role seamlessly. What his words indicate is that he clearly wants the cycle of Barcelona's domination to continue in full swing rather than suffering in any way due to his career winding down. The other point is that while almost all of us here are very impressed with Thiago, Xavi doesn't see him as being quite ready to take on such a major responsibility just yet. Please note that all these are not my views. I am just trying to interpret what Xavi thinks about this based on the various things he has said or is supposed to have said.
Re: Transfer Rumors
JD, though its not your own view but even if it is not correctly interpreted of what Xavi said, i fully agree every bit of this. This is actually my view as well. That is the reason i am checking latest news every morning hoping for a Cesc news. I just want our domination continues without a break. And i want Cesc badly as early as possible. The earliest would be the next season, but i am afraid if someone snap him up by this time. or Arsenal start winning trophies that convince him staying there(though the impossible thing on earth)messixaviesta wrote:Seeing how much interest Xavi is taking in trying to get Fabregas to Barcelona makes me kind of conclude two significant points. Re: Transfer Rumors
Heading out of the White Hart Lane exit door, though, is forward Giovani dos Santos, who Spurs have agreed to sell to Sevilla. The London club would have to pay 10% of a sell-on fee to his former club Barcelona if he is sold before 1 August. However, a deal has been agreed that would go through a day later.
Seems we won't get any cash for Giovani being sold after all
Also, I read that Spurs are going after Afellay pretty strong

Tottenham are closing in on a shock move for Barcelona’s Dutch attacking star Ibrahim Afellay.
Spurs chief scout Ian Broomfield watched the exciting target in the Audi Cup clash with Brazilian club Internacional in Germany last night.
Afellay played the first half – enough time to let Broomfield send a report back to Harry Redknapp about his form.

Re: Transfer Rumors
One can see why it might be appealing to Afellay though. If he cares more about establishing himself than winning trophies as a fringe player - which is what he'll remain to be here - tottenham might provide a good option for that. It would also be good business by Barca. Buy for 3M sell for 15M is a great return, so I can see Rosell going for it.
