Chelsea sign Victor Moses
official now, Chelsea get even stronger. I wonder how they'll use him..
"Chelsea are set to sign Nigeria forward Victor Moses from Wigan after the European champions finally met the Latics' asking price.
The Blues had seen four bids for Moses rejected by Wigan chairman Dave Whelan during the course of a fractious transfer saga that had lasted since the end of last season.
Whelan had infuriated Chelsea by speaking publicly about the negotiations in a bid to drive up the price.
But Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is on the verge of getting his man at the fifth attempt after Wigan confirmed they have accepted an improved offer and have given the 21-year-old permission to discuss a contract with the west London club.
"The club can confirm that after four unsuccessful bids from Chelsea for Victor Moses, a fifth bid has today finally met the valuation and terms set by Wigan Athletic and been accepted. The player has been given permission to speak with Chelsea," a statement on Wigan's website confirmed.
It has been reported that Wigan were demanding around £9 million for Moses, who joined the Latics from Crystal Palace in 2010 and has risen to prominence after a series of impressive displays last season."

Now Chelsea have Moses..we're trying to get Jesus...and United have Judas

Not sure he'll start at Chelsea. Plus they have De Bruyne out on loan.

Another winger to Chelsea, then. For £9m I really would have wanted him at Liverpool. Chelsea can offer him CL football and probably bigger wages, but he would have been a guaranteed starter at Liverpool. Oh well, I hope he does well in the blue shirt and doesn't end up being a wasted talent on the bench.

Great signing, with Marin injured hopefully can get some game time soon. Sturridge is naturally a CF so is a replacement for Torres, Moses will be wing relief.
Is the Navas stuff just rumors as I thought he got really homesick, at one point he couldn't even travel with the NT.

It's improved drastically, but he's adored in Sevilla. Seems like a loyal guy to me.

Yeah I gathered since he can travel a bit now but staying overnight or for a tournament is much different to moving completely. Haven't really seen alot of him/never watched Sevilla so don't know much more.

Ah yeah that's right, I totally forgot about that incident but now i remember it clearly.
Same thing happened with Reyes when he was with us, and it really started to show after a while that he couldn't adapt to life away from his home and wasn't happy in England. Fantastic player though.. I would hate for that to happen with Navas again, as much as I would like to see Navas play for Arsenal

Re: Chelsea sign Victor Moses
Sturridge is the second choice striker at Chelsea, and we will be playing a lot of games. So I believe he will end up with at least 12+ goals for the season. I'm pretty sure we will see a lot of rotation with Chelsea from now on.

He originally was an out and out CF, AVB decided to play him RW last year. Doesn't really make him a RW though.

Re: Chelsea sign Victor Moses
Sturridge is like Walcott for me, both are inside forwards.
Not CF's or wingers, both lack the dribbling ability and crossing to be wingers and both lack the presence to be CF's.
With the right system in place they can similar players to Pedro IMO.

Ok then the player that scores 20 goals in 80 odd appearances is an out and out CF hahaha
Guess you know better.....

I'm not denying he played RW where you don't really expect as much of a goal return. I'm saying he was originally a CF and he will backup Torres this season. He played off of Kevin Davies at bolton and scored 8 goals in 12 games.

Re: Chelsea sign Victor Moses
Marin is backup LW. Moses will be backup RW.
Marin adds creativity, direct dribbling & guile. Moses gives us the width we've been missing, pace and power.
Chelsea have Mata, Hazard, Marin, Ramires (ugh) & Moses. (Malouda and Benayoun are getting sold)
Barca have Pedro, Villa, Sanchez, Tello, Afellay & Cuenca,
United have Valencia, Young, Kagawa & Nani.
Bayern have Ribery, Robben, Shakira & Muller.
Arsenal have Arshavin, Theo, Chambo, Gervinho, Podolski & Cazorla.
etc etc etc
Ramires moves back into the middle, Sturridge finally gets his chance at CF and Nerman joins Chelsea after WC 2014.
World domination.

Re: Chelsea sign Victor Moses
I can see Chelsea making one more signing ,most likely a CF..Currently they have dreadful Torres and Sturridge as his backup even though he has hardly played CF for them.Havent seen Moses enough and it seems like he is a wide player as well.Considering they have sent Lukaku on loan havent they come up a bit short in the CF position ?I'd like to think so tbh.

Re: Chelsea sign Victor Moses
Sorta agree Crim, personally feel Sturridge isn't trusted by Di Matteo and Moses has been bought to replace him and Sturridge will go down the pecking order or leave.
As for Marin i never thought he would start, seems blatant that he will be Mata's back up.
Personally would play Mikel-Lampard Moses-Mata-Hazard Torres but it probably won't happen that way.

I'd play Oscar in there somewhere, but eh
Not gonna go anywhere unless they sort out the defence atm

Agree, we defended well last season when we defended deep and countered. But with our new players that doesn't really work.
