Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
So, Ramires isnt going to play winger never again? I mean we have like 4/5 wingers now (Hazard, Marin, Sturridge and Moses now and mata will play more often there because of Oscar)
Anyway very good player indeed, hope he does well

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
I think he will either do well, Marin style or fail horribly, Adam style.
Either way, we don't lose much.
Ramires to CM. OsHazMat to AM/Wing and Moses Marin as super subs.
Looks great.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
The only thing I do hope is that this isn't the only depth they're gonna bring in as far as the center-forward position is concerned. First of all, Moses isn't even a striker to begin with, and even if he was, he's not good enough to have as a supplement to Torres and Sturridge, who themselves have proven inconsistent and unreliable. The club needs another striker, plain and simple, and the consequences of not bringing one in before the window closes could be dire.

Bring in Heskey on deadline day
I would honestly consider placing a cheeky bid for Chicharito or Welbeck. Perhaps berba too.

Welbeck just signed a new contract, and I can't see Fergie selling Chich to a Premier League rival.Kick wrote:Bring in Heskey on deadline day

Couldn't see Torres leaving liverpool either.
Honestly, I neitherr of them are happy with RVP signing. They could well force a transfer.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
Well, if Welbeck wanted out after the RVP signing, he wouldn't have signed a new contract. As for Chicharito, I do think it's possible he may seek a move out if his playing time is severely affected, which it very well may be. But even if he does, I don't see Fergie selling him to a direct rival.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
Good signing for the squad, even though he isn't quite starter quality yet but he is only 21 or something. He's what we have needed for a while now some width and someone who will drive with the ball, although we have signed Hazard & Marin.
I think he will be a rich mans Kalou in some respects & will hopefully have a similar impact in which the way Danny did yesterday, coming on and driving at people. I mean the kid is a powerhouse on the ball and it certainly helps that he is homegrown.
I don't think Chich will join us, nor do I really see the point in him either. He is basically what we want Torres to be minus some build up play, I'd rather go for a big man as a back up striker myself. With Wellbeck this is what I heard from Man Utd fans anyways, about Danny always being a winger & that Fergie wants to convert him to an Henry type.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
Why do you say that? How does signing a wide forward have anything to do with any of our center-forwards? If anything, this signing is actually a plus for Sturridge. With so many wide players now at the club, he'll now have more chances in his coveted center-forward position, where's there's essentially no depth/competition at all except for the continually underwhelming Torres.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
Amazing signing imo, and for £9m it just makes it even better considering the likes of Steven Fletcher and Johnson are being talked about for upwards of £12m. Any young talent seems to be super overpriced so i'm very surprised we got him so cheap.
First off I won't lie, originally I was dead set against this signing simply complaining that Hulk is better. While this might still be the case the number of bids suggests that we're no longer just throwing money around and tightening up for FFP with is great. Assuming we also sign him/Azpi on a fair contract for 4-5 years we'll have secured some top talent cheap that will put us in a good place spending wise.
Secondly the more you think about it this signing makes sense. Ramires is supurb at RW but for me ONLY when we are playing counter attacking football. His bursting foward at great pace is a huge tool but for this to work we have to be countering alot and while we scored a counter attack against Wigan mostly we will be building up more against teams sitting back, it just so happens that Wigan are a very attacking team. Moses is a proper winger who can play on the right/left hand sides and while we may have Marin I'm unsure how much he'll feature with his injuries. The fact is we still started the season with a LB playing LW. He's young, strong, a good dribbler and in my opinion will get better. If in 2-3 seasons we have too many WC wingers I certainly won't be complaining.
Lastly I think this guy is very underrated. He is Wigans whole attack, when we played Wigan everything went through him. I'll embed the highlights below but if you watch the match you'll notice he switched from RW to LW and with that most of Wigan's attacks switched from the RW to the LW. Really keen to see how he links up in the attack. He's better than alot of people think imo, he was the only player I really felt threatened by when Wigan had the ball.
Also look at our second team(assuming we have a few players back from loan):
--------------Courtois
Azpilicueta - Cahill - Kalas - Bertrand
-----------Essien - Romeu
-------Moses - Oscar - Marin
--------------Sturridge
Video against us(doesn't make him look as good as he was imo):
Should subscribe to that guy aswell if you like watching X vs team videos(Hazard vs Reading etc).

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
Yea, he definitely was the most threatening player when we played them on Sunday, and the few times I did watch Wigan last season, he always looked good. Let's hope he improves even more now with the better players he'll now have around him.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
So this ends any Hulk rumours, he will be a good buy. We have quite a good bench now which means we are again title challenger material. We can't go below 3rd place with such a squad.

Re: Victor Moses - the Biblical one
Signings complete IMO, maybe we'll get somebody on deadline day but most of our signings have been good deals and smart buys. If we get anybody else lets hope it's in the same mold and not a panic buy like MRLSH. Hopeful that we can start offloading players now.

Well i'm christian, it's just a joke so not really offensive
According to the stories aswell Moses's parents were christian ministers in Nigeria(explains his name). And they were killed by religious radicals . That's why he ended up in England, cause his life was in danger.
