Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
14 goals for us with many of his appearances coming off the bench, or being subbed of unjustly early. Has been excellent in his intelligent movement, aerial threat and two-footed instinctual finishes.
Milan just KNOW how to recover confidence of players who are down on their knees.
My respect quadrupled for him when the Boss scored a screamer while HOBBLING ON ONE LEG
I F**KING LOVE GIAMPAOLO.
Easily the coolest guy in our team with his non-chalance & all around presence.
Tutti Pazzi Per Il Pazzo Pazzini!!!

Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
Like I always said, this guy is that goalscorer we have been searching for. Whilst Cassano offered more creativity and could provide assists, he couldn't score the weight of goals that Pazzini can. Also, let's not count out Balotelli, who just bagged 5 in 5.

Rafael, you were missed in the Milan "chat" today, brother.
Pazzini
I feel so blessed to have been watching this game live (one of the few games I have been able to sit down and watch this season) - you gotta love those half day Fridays.

Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
seriously, this is what made that thunderbolt to the top corner ridiculous!Arquitecto wrote:My respect quadrupled for him when the Boss scored a screamer while HOBBLING ON ONE LEG
I was very fond of him when I was watching him week in week out with my favourite Fantantonio Cassano, as they carried Samp into the Champions League places, and were cruelly denied in the dying seconds of a sensational second leg qualifier win ... I didn't believe he'd respond so well when Super Mario's arrival basically left him with an ultimatum to prove himself again NAOW ... but you did, Arq; based on your first post, you always did ...Arquitecto wrote:It seems most over here are understandably disturbed by the atrocious dealings this summer without any replacements. So much that they ignore the ability of anyone who is signed by Milan. I have heard quite a lot of negative attention towards Pazzini in this section and frankly I'm quite perplexed by it. Anyone who has followed Pazzini over his career will tell you how good of a striker he really is. Il Pazzo is a forward who is built solely on the confidence of his ability and once that confidence is subdued he will cease to perform. Other 'confidence' forwards are Robinho, Huntelaar, Gomez, Lewandowski, Torres, Jermaine Defoe. A list of names who out of form will be atrocious yet in form when they find their stride and rhythm they will provide goals when needed.

Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
Ever since he scored the first goal and the first hat trick in the new Wembley stadium, I always had a soft spot for Pazzini. His time with Fiorentina was full of turmoil, but he did pick up himself at Sampdoria, forming that deadly combination with Cassano.
His move to Inter at a time I wanted him at Juve disappointed me, but Pazzini was never far away from my heart. I hope he explodes to the full potential he has now that he is at the lesser evil half of Milano

He was amazing vs Barca even if he didn't score. Won every aerial duel, didn't make a bad first touch, great movement, put pressure on Pique.

There is nothing to do but play Constantino il Grande as our forward. His mere presence will make Puyol wrap his whole body in bandage instead of just his head (like in the previous game)

I am worried he won't be fit for Barca. If we isn't, it will be a huge loss. I hope he can recover in time! Such a joy to watch lately

I hope Allegri will start Niang, I'm sure he will torment Barca's non existent defense, and 1 goal will be more than enough.

Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
yeah, Niang starting is not a bad thing at all ... Pazzo is a great away leg striker, in that you can just lop the ball forward to him, with his back to goal, to hold the ball, or head it off to the wings ... but there'll be plenty of movement and pace with Niang joining that attacking trident ...

Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
I have to admit, he's surpassed my expectations, despite starting out very slowly, Pazzini has really proven he can be an important asset to this team. While after this season (if he continues like this) offers may arrive for as much as 20 million, I wouldn't sell him. He'll age well seeing as he already isn't very fast to begin with, and the number 1 thing you'll usually begin to lose with age is speed.. But his game doesn't revolve around that. Besides, his 2 million of wages isn't that bad, he's a luxury to have as a CF with Balotelli.

Re: The Myth of Giampaolo Pazzini
I still want to see a 4-3-3 with an attack of SES, Pazzo, and Balo. Pazzini can be the front man, while SES and Balo would have the freedom to roam.

I second using 4-3-3, but for a different reason. We need more experience and better players to play 4231 due to it having more lines of play. With 433 we are not taxing the fragile brains of our midfielders and rightly so
