transfers
Marotta sucks, that's right, I went there; tired of the crap of being linked w players like Aguero, Rossi, Pastore, Dzeko, LIorente, etc on for us to end up signing a CF like Pazzini. Tired of the excuses, didnt't become aware that Juve should be run like Sampdoria (all completed transfers, except Vidal n Krasic are Samp-type players). Juve have spent 40m euro this transfer window + 23 received from sales=63+ another 25-30 available=96m euro; Coentrao (25), Ranocchia (15), Asamoah (9 for 1/2), Gotze(35)=83m euro +9m for Isla+5m for Poli=98m euro (add 12-15 if Matri is sold), but yeah Juve are great

Re: transfers
Marotta sucks so bad that he is responsible for most of the Juventus players in your FIFA-FM-imaginary wet dream line ups lmao
Line up 1:
Barzagli, Vidal, Pirlo, Lichtsteiner, Vucinic
Line up 2:
Caceres, Bonucci, Asamoah, Isla, Quagliarella
Coentrao's price dropping after one season with Real Madrid?
Not sure if this is an alcohol induced dream? Or just a load of a FIFA

Re: transfers
this Juventus squad is good, but if any of you have seen the Juventus from the 80s n 90s, it does not even compare; Lichtsteiner,Barzagli,Chiellini,Caceres,Isla,Marchisio,Pirlo,Giovinco,Vucinic and Asamoah are solid players (some are WC), but Juventus should have a much better squad.
compare
2003 Juventus
Zambrotta-Ferrara-Thuram-Pesotto
-----Conte-Davids-Tacchinardi-----
--Camoranesi-Trezeguet-P Nedved--
v
Grygera-Legrottaglie-Chiellini-Molinaro
-----------Poulsen-Tiago------------
---Camoranesi-Diego-Marchisio-------
----------------Iaquinta--------------
clearly the 2010 version wins
I meant Poulsen, but read an article about Tiago n Nocerino

Re: transfers
It's not just the option to buy...
what if the player don't want to come to Juve...
Dzeko is getting a higher salary & playing in a more popular league world wide...why would he go out of his way to come to Juve?
you don't about thing like that before you talk right?

Re: transfers
And I don't understand what we're comparing here. It's a random selection of some players from our back to back 7th place era and Nocerino from just after Calciopoli.
When Marotta came let's face it we were an upper mid table team with no real pulling power and an overpriced wage bill. He's made a few errors but it's his transfers that have gotten us to the top despite last summers transfer window where we offered average wages, no form of European competition and nothing more than a project which all clubs have.
Marotta has done a brilliant job with what he had. Even now he's snapping up young prospects and lowering the wage budget considerably.

Actually, I see Dzeko as possible
He has always talked about moving to Italy
I doubt he wants to remain as a bench player with City, but if he does then he isn't a player Juventus should sign anyways, not ambitious enough if he is content with his role
But other than that, I agree with you [and I realize that the Dzeko point wasn't the main thing you were talking about, I just wanted to comment on that]
Marotta is frustrating at times, especially with this hunt for a striker for two summers now. Apart from that, I really like what he has done. The squad looks great. A lot of young central midfielders, it will be interesting to see how they all fit together, one day.

Re: transfers
Dzeko recently said he's too good to ride the bench at City.
Not bothered about him really, could be good but he offers little apart from goals and if he can't get those regularly like he hasn't at the majority of his time with City then he's a very expensive Matri.
It's a big gamble, I would just get Llorente for less money and smaller wage demands. I think with the service of Pirlo he could be a very good option.

Dzeko has been pretty consistent when it comes to scoring at City when you consider his games started and those when he was a substitute.

see the above post, makes perfect sense; Im tired of hearing excuses for not signing players; what about the almost-impossible signing of Nedved, Buffon,Ibrahimovic, etc btw I shouldn't chirp Legro, he was a good CB (his 2nd stint w us). should really make a play to sign LIorente and Jovetic TOGETHER (and Peluso)+ keep Licht and sell Matri.
