Ronaldo vs Messi

I always try to make a case for Ronaldo because I feel sorry for him, in a different era he could have been the best in the world but it's obvious that Messi is much better.

He got injured 3 times this season. before injury Messi was top scorer of La liga with 8 goals, ronaldo only had 3 or 4. then injury happened and he missed 2 games, then he didnt score anymore

The difference is too big to put it down to injury ffs

For this season difference is 10 goals. Messi missed 4 games, and subbed off early in 2 games. So its 6 games in total. 10 goals in 6 games is normal for fit Messi.

also he didnt score in next 4 games after injury. (physical problem and mind problem). In total injury stopped messi from scoring in 10 games. I'm sure fit Messi would score 15 goals in 10 games and would have more goals than CR now

that's good and all, but what about minutes?

oh and if you could not see that Messi was still not fit after he returned from injury than you need glasses. Everyone, and I mean everyone, were talking about crisis because he hadn't been able to hit top form after his injury. Like they said, before the injury, Messi was the topscorer in La Liga and afterwards he has been fighting to get back to top form..

Yes, playing 21mins, 40 mins, 29 mins and than getting injured = each count as a full match

Messi didn't play 16 games, he was subbed off 3 times before half-time, subbed on once in the last 15 mins and missed 3 full games, due to injuries. Playing after injuries unfit (you can't play at 100% after being injured for 2-3 weeks)!

You don't compare an unfit/injured Messi with a fit player

The Minutes accumulate to Ronaldo having played about 4-5 more matches... leading scorer, yeah, that wasn't because of him, but due to the small sample size of like 4 games, and Ronaldo being scoreless in the first 2, which never happened since.

Every time he played on the pitch, before he hurt/injured himself, I saw a fit Messi, injured/hurt players dont go selfish mode firing off shots like messi did, just a bad phase he suffered/is suffering.
No, saying that had Messi played the same amount of mines he'd score more goals than ronaldo so far, is an absurd claim that cant be proven, which is what I responded on.

In LIGA Messi missed 2 games and got injured twice playing just 21 and 29 minutes vs Almeria and Betis and got subbed on once vs Osasuna (played only 15 mins).
Not playing consistently and getting injured 3 times effects player's performance. You can't play at 100% after coming from injury lol

Ronaldo's been better at free kicks longer than Messi has. It was just a few years ago Messi started becoming good at them. Not sure about how did for Argentina, however it's probably a similar case.

I do belive that Messi became our main freekick taker around 2011, but before that, it was Xavi, Alves, Marquez etc.
