If this deal goes through, Barca will have made big steps. Just a top class CB next to Pique and they'll be ruling Europe again.

If it's true I don't expect him to shine first season, but he is young and hopefully will continue staying on track of getting better.

So Barca will pay 20m for 45% while Nerman keeps 10%. So then why would Barca give 30m for 45% that Santos owns for a player that has 1 year left.

I doubt barca pays 50m total, expect them to get the Barca discount and pay <40m probably 35/37m.

The problem here is barca having to buy out Nerman from that third party company that owns him most of his rights....and THEN also having to buy him out from Santos. Similar situation to whats going on with Falcao.

Dudes only 20 and will get better. He will also not have the burden he has with Brazil of having to be the guy, with so many other player makers on Barca. The only think I would like about this move happening now, is that he would address our winger issue before the season ends, and now we have the entire summer to focus on the other areas of the pitch that need reinforcement

Nerman also apparently told some fan that he will be signing for Barca as well earlier this week

Santos have reportedly rejected a €22 million offer from Barcelona for the services of Brazilian international, Neymar and are demanding more money from the Blaugrana in what looks to be the first of many counter-proposals for the 21-year-old.

According to Brazilian sports daily, Globoesporte, Barça initially proposed €17 million, which was quickly rejected, then the latest offer of €22 million, which is unacceptable to Santos vice president, Odilio Rodriguez, who is demanding upwards of €50 million.

“Santos analysed the proposals received, but this latest offer does not serve our interests. It was not accepted. We’ve only had received one offer of the table and the financial committee understands that it’s not what we want.

Neymar will remain with the team, he has a contract until 2014.”
Santos are hoping to prolong negotiations until after the Confederations Cup, hoping Neymar will shine at the tournament and raise his price tag.

Rodriguez also admitted the interest of Real Madrid, but nothing as strong as Barcelona.

“Real Madrid is interested, but I cannot talk about details.”

Not according to reports from Brazil the 22 million is for 100% of Neymar, Santos get 45%, Nemar himself 10% and the rest to an investment group. Santos are currently looking for 50 million for a player with just a year left on his contract, I think that's insane even if the player is Neymar.

No,its 22M for 100%.Santos would get about 10M for Neymar which is kind of a joke.They would be laughed at for ages if the deal happened.But they must sell, and will sell this season.Imagine how their supporters will react when Neymar leaves for free?
