Neymar failed to understand that R.Madrid are biggest club

Florentino, instead of 'selling' the club to the player and the ideal surroundings that would await him and boost his career on securing his move to Spanish football, became irritated with the intervention of Neymar Senior and accused the player of "failing to understand that Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world", telling the teenager he should be grateful for his side's interest and revealing that, should the deal go through, by no means could he be guaranteed a starting spot in the first team.

i havent heard about him leaving in 2013, so this might be european/foreign BS that just can't wait to see him at the UCL. but it's not impossible, seeing it from a santos perspective. we really want him to stay for our 100th anniversary thingy, and we definitely won't want to let him go for free in 2014.

however, there are other forces that will want to keep him in brazil until 2014, because people want a star coming from a Brazilian club instead of all these foreigners.

neymar, as i've said before, has adapted to all kinds of situations in the past 2 years, and i really dont think his ego would be a problem in barcelona, especially if he gets the proper care.

barcelona's president has said before that they can wait, that it's a "long term love affair"... while real madrid have indeed been impatient. so i dont doubt that he'll go to camp nou.. be it in 2013 or 14.. real madrid really seem to hate to take no for an answer, and thats it..

Barca financially solidified themselves for several years with the endorsement contracts they executed this year. Money is no longer a worry for them unfortunately.

but seriously, you do know that he is not as good as neymar, right? he's a great player, above average, but has a lot of ups and downs, and will take some time to mature. either way, it's pretty much agreed that neymar is the boy to go for if you really want someone special..

if this is because lucas was the best player in the match against santos two days ago, okay. but let us remember that it was a match in which neymar, ganso or any starter should NOT have be playing, after going all the way to Pery on thursday to play on the world's worst pitch, and then take a 12-hour return trip home.. they were completely worn out. it was a very unwise decision to field them.

if neymar wouldnt get a spot in real madrid, i think it will be even harder for lucas.. let our kids develop!

Villa, Sanchez and Ibra purchases are 3 years apart. Probably how much Madrid spend in a year as they have to buy all their players courtesy a broken youth system.
