Agree with this. A Vidic - Stam partnership would have indeed been very beastly. Gawd. Then since I'm not old enough I'm going to go for CR7/Becks on the right. Whatever. Very Happy

Funny thing is that second one would actually win everything because it's true, no-one would get past those two lines of defence and then all they'd have to do is play it to Best so he can dribble to the corner flag and win us a corner or a free kick, which Beckham would take and then BAM! Imagine Becks swinging it in to Buchan, Stam, Bruce and Vidic. The opponents would be shitting themselves.

But yeah a more balanced best ever XI would be this:
