Ancelotti has won Serie A once, Coppa Italia once, CL twice, PL once and FA Cup once.

So no not really, even when combine all the trophys together. Mancini still wins.

As i said he's a ridiculously overrated manager.

@7amood

Chelsea won the CL and FA Cup with a manager who got sacked from West Brom because he was taking them down so no not really.

You should take into account the Intertoto cup, CWC, and 2 Super cups Ancelotti has won. Trophies are trophies, he won them, he should get credit for them.

The 2005/06 league title was won by Inter in court, not on the field. And in 06/07 and 07/08 there was hardly any competition because of Calciopoli.

And winning the CL has much more weight than winning the league or cup. Ancelotti's reached the CL final thrice and won it on 2 occasions. That's a feat Mancini can only dream of tbh.

He was also robbed with that Sheva goal that would put us in extra-time against Barcelona wich could of gone anywhere , but fact is we contended seriously for 5 years in a row , and won twice , f*cked up twice too but that's football .... Mancini was garbage in CL every year .

Ligue 1 winner and at least the last sixteen of the CL. Either that or their season is screwed.

If they don't win Ligue 1 with Ibra, Ancelotti should take the door.

Montpeller just lost their best player, Lille lost his best players, Lyon will sell a lot of players and will buy nothing, Marseille lost his coach and replaced it with a joke.

PSG can't lose this championship, that would be clownesque.

Intertoto Cup Laughing

Do you realise what that is? we have won that lol, all it is a Europa League qualifying tournament. Laughing

Super Cups are like the Charity Shield they are glorified friendlies.

CWC is the only one that holds any weight as a meaningful trophy and quite frankly no one takes that seriously either.

The only one's that are taking seriously are leagues, domestic cups, CL and EL.

The rest are hardly major trophies. With Intertoto cup being a complete joke.

It doesn't even matter, even if you take away the super cups and the intertoto cup away, Ancelotti still has the more impressive record.

The farthest Mancini has ever reached in the CL was the QFs. In a similar time period, Ancelotti got to the semis FOUR times, to the final 3 times, and won it twice. No comparison, Ancelotti is ahead of Mancini by far.

Even in the UEFA Cup Ancelotti did better than Mancini lol Laughing No comparison.

1 serie A Laughing

Plus the fact Mancini has won more major trophies ( and he has) says all you need to know about how overrated Ancelotti is.

This is not about Mancini being better or not this is just showing how overrated Ancelotti is when someone like Mancini has won more major trophies. Laughing

Because someone wins the CL doesnt make him automatically better btw.

By this logic Di Matteo is better than Wenger Laughing

Plus even if you wanted to make this debate, Ancelotti is a lot older and been around longer than Mancini so Mancini could easily win a CL with the finances at City's disposal in the time on his side.

And he's still won infinitely more leagues and cups than Ancelotti.

I'm sorry but 2 league titles in nearly 20 years of management is disgraceful for someone rated so highly.

Guardiola won more in 3 years Laughing

Post by sportsczy Mon Jul 16, 2012 11:21 am

lol at the hate.

Let's face it.... Serie A is shite other than Juve. And it's trending downwards. All the stars are leaving. In fact, if Juve doesn't buy Cavani, he'll leave too lol. In France, you have 8-10 new stadiums being built right now including Lyon, Marseille, Lille, Rennes, Bordeaux, Toulouse, etc. So the revenue will rise exponentially with modern facilities. Hazard left because he wanted a new challenge... and Lille bought Kalou, Martin and others with the money (reinvestment). Lyon is just waiting for their stadium to be finished until they can spend again (Aulas financed privately. No public help).

And Mole. Newcastle sucks. Mancini is not better than Carlo. And yes, Matteo is actually a better manager currently than Mancini because winning the CL is the toughest achievement in football. Carlo getting to 3 finals and winning 2 other CL crowns make his reputation well deserved.

Keep the hate flowing though peeps. Jealousy is such a wonderful attribute to witness. As a certain well known poster here describe to me and others: "The stereotype in Arabia is that all Westerners are materialistic and have a lot of hate and jealousy for anyone richer than they are. It's just a stereotype but some people on the internet really confirm it lol"

I do love how only 2 league trophies and 2 domestic cups in close to 20 years of management is ignored because of CL success.

Only CL counts

If this is the case then Guardiola is already equal to SAF.

Mancini has won only 3 league titles (05/06 doesn't count, won in court), Ancelotti has 2. So no, Mancini doesn't have infinitely more league titles than Ancelotti. And he'll never have as much CL success as Ancelotti did.

I rate Ancelotti as a top 5 club manager in the past 10 years. There's no way that can be considered as overrated. Not many coaches have achieved as much CL success as Ancelotti has.

And plus, Ancelotti hasn't even been coaching fro 20 years lol. He started in 1995, which is 17 years ago, and his first two clubs weren't really expected to win trophies.

- Ancelotti's first big club was 13 years ago, not 20.

- Yes, because the CL is the hardest competition to win in club football, so I don't see why you're surprised that it holds more weight than domestic titles.

Also Mancini's first two club's wasn't expected to win trophies either but he did win them trophies.

No excuse.

I would love to see your crystal ball of why Mancini cant achieve CL success with the backing he has Laughing

Also this big club excuse, just proves how overrated Ancelotti is even more that he needed to have Nesta, Maldini, Cafu, Rui Costa, Kaka, Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Seedorf etc etc at his disposal to be able to win things.

And yet he still only managed to win the league once.

Meanwhile Mancini won silverware at 2 different midtable clubs, before moving on to Inter to dominate Italy which Ancelotti was apart of btw, the great Ancelotti was pummelled every season by Mancini's Inter Laughing

Excuses.... Laughing

Ancelotti was with Reggiana in Serie B, he got them promoted.

Ancelotti got Parma to the highest league ranking they have ever achieved in their history, 2nd.

And of course he got the title for Milan.

Yeah sure, what a failure.

The best Mancini could do was win the league with zero competition. The best competition at the time was Roma, it would be an outrage if he didn't win lol.

It looks like you're trying to cover up Mancini's failures in the CL
by showing me how he won a league with no competition. Ridiculous Laughing

Ancelotti won the CL twice and reached the final 3 times. Oh but wait, Mancini won the league against Roma as the main competition, he's so much better Laughing

Milan's refusal to rebuild the team is well documented you're making it look like Carlo had unlimited resources that is simply not true.

Mancini is a good manager who I rate but Carlo gives PSG an advantage in Europe not many would deny that.
