Club is pissed at him for making a public request for salary increase, but no way this leads to him being sold. However if Neymar does come this year, it could very well put Di maria on bench.
but i do think the signing of sahin affected him as well, instead of higher chance of playing more minutes looks like it will be not that much next season. if he really wants a starter next season i dont see that in madrid.
if he can accept the bench role, he will stay. but i dont think madrid will let him go. just the issue of he want to play more or accepting the probability

I could see the club being upset. There is a massive gag order on the club and all the media surrounding the club right now. It's actually pretty amazing.

Yeah but I think he would surprise us all by fighting his way into the starting 11

Great player. But he's fragile health-wise. Always a major concern with a player you look for leadership.

with the point given, honestly im not being biased. i mentioned even before some players will be affected with the signing of sahin. we had players before set for 4231 but with the 433 change. maria is one of the affected players.

so i personally hope we won't go out signing kun / neymar / falcao etc....
after the signings of sahin and altintop only position we should be looking at is cb / rb depending on whether ramos will be moved to cb or not.
i also don't understand the deal with coentrao, the guy pretty much uses his left foot for everything and we want him to play rb for us, seriously ? i know he is quality but he has never played rb before so him playing rb for madrid scares me alot and sounds like very risky business considering his price tag.
Take a look at what they are doing.
1) Coentrao - we have a weakness in defense, growing age of Carvalho. They feel Ramos is the solution. Given no good CBs available, they are taking the best FB available. He has played a fair amount on right side (as MF or wing).
2) Sahin - we needed to improve our midfield specifiaclly our passing / play making capabilities.
3) Altintop / Callejon - we want to improve our bench strength.
4) Aquero - he's a better option than both Benz and Higgy - this is the only change that you can argue that may not be necessary. It's is debatable who of the three is better. My opinion is Benz hasn't consistently shown good form and has not earned his wages nor transfer price.
4) Neymar and Varane - these are both furtues deals. Neither one of them is likely to play with club this year. Logic is lock up talent as soon as you can (beats rivals and likely is a bargain price).
5) the only other possible change is a 3rd striker, likely either Morata or Adebayor.
and re guys on bench, I say we will see a lot more rotations this year. Mou will have an entire teams that he should not be fearful of using. This should stop his excuses of team being too tired.
1. sure, but still no rb experience
2. i am perfectly fine with us getting sahin, he was amazing last season and is very much needed
3. altintop, no probs with me, he is a player that mou likes. about callejon, isn't he a winger ? don't think he is needed
4. 40 million for neymar ? sure the kid has talent but you don't pay that kind of money for an unproven player, no matter how talented. specially considering how he has not really been tested against world class defenders. i don't know enough about varane to comment on him.
4. aguero is great yeah, but benz really found his form later in this season. although i agree that he has not justified his transfer price nor wages yet, but should we really dump him now that he has started to find back his lyon form ? besides, he has great synergy with our other players on the pitch and he was beasting in cl this season.
5. adebayor is meh, hope he doesn't come back, i would rather see how morata does as the 3rd striker

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
hes not going to bench cris and xabi for sure.Sahin?only if hes a major disappointment in which mou would be obligated to move back to the 4-2-3-1
that leaves ozil, but i doubt he will be moving from the starting line up.
i guess d maria will be in the same situation as kaka

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
better rotation would do the job
sahin and xabi can share playing time for one spot in mid 3
ozil and sahin (and maybe kaka if he stay) can share playing time for one other spot in mid 3
sahin and khedira can share playing time for another spot in mid 3
maria and ozil (and maybe kaka if he stay) can share playing time for one spot in front 3
most of them can get starting role for more than 40 games next season with that arrangement

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
I don't think playing Ozil deep in midfield would be a good idea, but that is essentially the difference between the 4231 that we currently play and the proposed 433.
I think Mourinho will stick with his double pivot system as he has used before and rotate between Sahin, Khedira and Alonso. Sahin was playing in this system when he was at Dortmund so he'll not have a problem of adapting to a new formation.

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
sharing , how do you define your sharing.
for me its either backup players or rotation. but week in week out change is not good imo. if for example ozil, he can play all the games in the league and rest if just needed depends on the situation will give maria how many minutes?
subs when needed , play when ozil needs rest... back up player

Re: Real Madrid Transfer Rumours
with so many talents in the team, i think doing a fair a rotation is a must to keep our players maintain their quality, sustain their improvement, as well as keep them motivated
i think this is what you have to do when you have more than 11 players that deserve a starting role, fair rotation
and i don't mean just being backup for other players (this is the role for granero, altintop, etc i suppose)
and ozil did play lcm in diamond formation for sometime back in bremen when diego's around, he need to get use to it again though

for me that is why their are players who are in the level of rotation players, those who fight for the starter spots but should know how important rotation and back players role. specially in madrid most of them are quality starter for some teams but not in madrid. i think they are aware of that role like granero for ex, but with maria who wants an increase with his salary and knowing he will be affected in the 433. obviously he wants first time football. if he choose not to be a back up player he needs to find another team to get what he wants. just like raul and kaka. rual wants first team he went to another team kaka, accepted a back up role.
utilize ozil, why play deep if he is better not being there

so changing to 433 with sahin inclusion means someone who has previously a starter now has to be a back up player? lol, how is that fair? especially if that someone has proved themselves enough and earned it (based on last season performance), while on the other hand you're suggesting that sahin, the new comer, automatically get a starting role
and why it has to be 11 starting role and the rest as back up? we're obviously have more than 11 that should get starting role + some others that's indeed in different quality and suppose to be a back up
i support utilizing ozil in mid 3 because sharing 50/50 playing time with maria in front 3 will make both get too little playing time, so imo it should be maria that play a lot more in front 3 and ozil get additional playing time in mid 3

first off all im against the 433. and i dont think its fair as well even for khedira and not the starter like granero are affected. but its mou's call. so i just have to wait and see for that change. im so for 4231 football, much suited for the madridisimo football i loved. i never suggested sahin to be a starter just seeing the chances he is. last season system didnt worked for me and now he is changing it. changing the system means changing the players. maria granero khedira have to live with it imo.
