With all the promising youngsters and Italian stars moving to Ligue 1 it's clear who the players prefer. Ligue 1 is surpassing Serie A imo.

By moving to Ligue 1 you really mean moving to PsG. They are very rich and are going after Italian based players thanks to Ancelloti and Leonardo.

1 team =/= the league as a whole

Imo Serie A is in a clear decline. Ligue `1 is still distant from Serie A level.

I can see them surpassing them within next 10 years btw.

It's a cycle, soon Serie A will rise and other leagues will decline, and vice versa, that's what's been happening for a long time now.

And Ligue 1 is nowhere near Serie A, not even close. 1 decent team =/= strong league.

Top players wouldn't really move to Montpellier/Lyon etc from Serie A.

Pastore became invisible to the world of football when he left Palermo & I can't think of any other youngster that left Serie A for Ligue 1(PSG) because Lavezzi isn't young...


When you say Italian stars, please clarify, do you mean Italian players of the nationality? or Serie A stars?
Off the top of my head, I can only think of Verratti as an Italian who might go to PSG

Lique 1 is the ONLY league i simply cannot watch. There's just something weird and alien about the atmosphere surrounding Lique one games that puts me off

How many "elite" teams are in each league?

Liga - 2 (RM, Barca)
EPL - 2 (ManC, ManU)
Bundes - 1 (Munchen)
Series A - 1 (Juve)
L1 - 1 (PSG)

They're both pointless leagues tbh. Juve went unbeaten and no one gave a single f**k.

Inter are in decline. Milan are in decline. Napoli, Udinese, Lazio and Roma would probably be midtable sides in BPL.

Then again even Zidane wouldn't get into Juve's team apparently so I suppose there's still some hope for Calcio.
