Yeah this could easily be another QPR..... i.e. extremely rich benefactors that dont invest anywhere near as much as expected and just buy average rubbish.
I would like to see Forest back in the Prem though.

Re: Nottingham Forest Taken over by The Al-Hasawi family from Kuwait
Wouldn't they essentially become another QPR? They can sign good players for their level, but it'll probably take a long time before they're competing amongst the best in the league.
Interesting that there's seemingly a lot of interest in Championship clubs though. QPR, Cardiff, Reading and now Forest...

QPR had/has rich owners but they are careful about how they spend. They won't shell out 50mil+ in a summer.
While most Arabs are willing to... unlike Malaga's

Considering some of the wages QPR are paying (Barton) I wouldn't exactly call them careful.
After the players they signed in Jan had they gone down they would of been in serious trouble

Hasawi seals Nottingham Forest deal – Arabi chief mulls buying Newcastle
KUWAIT: Sources at Kuwait’s Arabi Club yesterday said that its Chairman Jamal Al-Kazemi is “seriously thinking of buying the British Newcastle United football club”. They explained that “he has finalized all conditions that enable him to acquire the club by next week”. The actual negotiations with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley will be clear,” they said. Incidentally, Ashley has wanted to sell the club since 2009. He bought the club known as “Magpies” in 2007 for £134.4 million and it is said that he is willing to sell it for less than £80 million.
Ashley is going to sell it for 80m, when he wouldn't even sell us for 80m when we was in the championship.
Righto

Malaysian consortium, cant remember who exactly.
He has always said he wanted more than what he paid for it and there's no way in hell considering how we have improved on and off the pitch since then he would sell it for 80m.
I hope he doesn't as well i'm happy with how the club is run at the moment and we don't need no foreign owners coming in and unsettling any stability we may have had.
Not to mention we would probably be debt ridden again and likely worse of than we are now.
