He was brilliant towards the end. Played a couple of great passes and was denied an assist by Gervinho's lack of a killer finish. Also played a great long ball to chamakh who dumped it off to RVP who failed.

Really good performance. A lot better than the performances in Asia. The three new players look like they'll fit straight in. Hopefully we'll see this sort of play - the pressing, the fluidity of the movement and passing - a lot more often.

Cautiously optimistic ahead of the Sunderland game.
