Thought our 1st half team was excellent and won't mind seeing that against Sunderland apart from 2-3 changes. For example Koscielny for Mertesacker and Arteta for Oxlade.

I didn't think Song did better than Coquelin but Coquelin wasn't all that good either. but i guess Song will start

I was surprised at how literally awkward our play became when the Fleeing Doucheman came on. He got way too much of the ball, even when he wasn't in good positions to get it, case in point when Diaby was completely alone on the edge of the box and could have taken a shot but passed to RIP when he was marked.

I'm happy to see Podolski play well, I think Giroud was unlucky not to score and that the first half team should start against Sunderland. I don't know if Arteta will since he's carrying a knock. Cazorla's composure > Xavi

He was shown quite a lot in the Germany training pics, except for the ones in the pool. I think Arsenal.com put a lot of emphasis on his presence at the camp. Agree on the promotions and spot light. I don't know what kind of sign that is but we need some resolution because this got old a month ago. 20 Minutes wasn't enough time for him imo, he looked Arshavin-y (who ironically, looked Van Persie-y) but if he stays I think he'll get back into the swing of things.

That is if Giroud doesn't force him out of the starting XI

Well, it doesn't make sense for the club to stick a player who's currently receiving negative attention into their promotions and ads, does it? Arsenal and van Persie have done the right thing by keeping this saga out the spotlight as much as possible in order to make it less of a distraction.

As for his performance today, it's about what I'd expect from someone who hasn't played a pre-season game yet, was apparently carrying a knock and came on while his team was already winning 4-0. Even the most dedicated and fit of players wouldn't put a lot of effort in during that situation.

I don't know who will be leading the line next Saturday, but I wouldn't be surprised if van Persie were on the bench.
