Our defence is horrid. High line with no pressure whatsoever, not going with runners from midfield and not tracking the late runs from City's wing backs. Toure is being left to run off our midfield and get at our defence and it's causing all sorts of problems.

I would like to say that it's just pre-season, and I'm sure that plays a big part in this, but these are problems that were there last season, too. Just not defending as a team at all.

HT: 2-0

No one really dominated possession but two late goals from two basic mistakes make the match look like we were steamrolled Laughing

Diaby stood out for me. Walcott, Gervinho and Santos at times aswell. Our defence looking horrible.

Looks like our boys thought it was HT at 40 minutes. I am mad, and trying to type sane.

We are so *bleep* without Sagna. Both goals were created by the space on offer from a out of position RB. No knee jerk, I know its pre season and we are short of fitness and all that riff raff. But these were the same elementary mistakes we have been making for years now. Evidently, Bould has not done shit with those defenders yet.

Oh and Bartley makes me want to compare Mertesacker with Bolt.

Jenkinson was at fault for both goals. Song having bad game, diaby is Playing ok and so is arteta. Our best player has been Gervinho so far.

i think gervinho isnt really tracking back well. if u have noticed, city's attack is from their left(our right). m really worried abt Jerkinson. bt diaby is a beast.

And people defend Song when I say he is nothing but a DM without discipline trying to be a star in every match. Agreed he is creative and stuff, but he has a duty in the team which he has not been absolved of in any measure. No excuse for not covering the full backs.

Jenkinson caught high-up and too narrow for both goals. Gibbs beaten too easily for the first and too slow getting back for the second.

song must be moved from DM to a more advanced role so that we can have a disciplined DM.

what i got from this half

Gervinho is pure garbage, runs into defenders stands in a place were most defenders are during a counter, but he drops deep very well though i give him that

Diaby it seems is very scared to do that extra strech to get teh ball even when it is a few yards away from him, its harming Arsenals defensive game

Theo Walcott is nowhere to be seen

Wing switch??? so that you have inside wingers instead, i think that would trouble their defence more especially their weakest link in Savic

Jenkinson apart from the goal has been very good

Vermealen is horrid, kos has been able to hodl a worse defence intact, this guy misstimes offsides, lets ball just roll past him (Kolarov´s cross for the goal) and is not a leader

Arsenals defence as a whoel are very scared of Yaya, they back when he runs at them instead of going in with force
