Does the ballon d'or come down to the supercup?

I know it sounds off but I think its possible that the Spanish supercopa can decide the winner of the ballon d'or or at least help play a part. Of course its a clasico tie, so were almost guaranteed some fireworks but let's look at the scenario. Both Messi and CR7 are clearly regarded as the 2 best players atm with messi at the top. And while Ronaldo won la liga, he lost in the Euro. Messi lost in La Liga, but he won the kings cup and had practically the best season of all time for a forward in Europe with 70+ goals. And of course he was ineligible for the Euro. With that said, the supercopa is the last piece of silverware that both teams and players have left to compete for in this calendar year so do u guys think it can help sway the decision towards one or the other? I know half of you will say its just a mickey mouse cup, but its silverware nonetheless.

According to all Madrid fans, super cup doesn't matter and is a pointless trophy.. unless they win it.
In a serious tone, it can give the voters something to think about but wont be a tie breaker considering they are not very tied and Messi clearly stands out as the better winner, unless Ronaldo scores a hat trick or something doubt anything will change.

Supercups are hardly even Mickey Mouse cups, calling them mickey mouse cups is being awfully generous IMO.

So no, it shouldn't come down to that, it won't come down to that, I'd be in hysterics if it did.

Balon D'or is so different currently, it really matters little who won what competitions.

Since there's more people voting without guidelines, the best player really wins the prize now, not the one who won the biggest competition.

I can see Messi picking it up again, it's an easy non controversial vote.

It's not about trophies imo. Messi is the better player regardless of whether he wins trophies or not.

Supercopa is a exhibition game how can it influence Balon D Or ?

the supercopa is a preseason cup, i dont care if we win it the next 25 seasons its not an important trophy..

the only thing that elevates it is the fact that its another clasico.

but to answer the question- no, it doesnt matter messi has already won ballon dor.

we all know he is the best.. that doesnt mean he has to take the ballon every year

iniesta was vital too in barca's seaon but also contributed in euros and was named player of the tournament..

if the point is who scored most then ronaldo scored plenty of goals too but he leaded portugal to semis and won the league
which means ronaldo's goals were more importand and vital than messis

messi is the better player but this season others deserve it more

it always comes down to trophies otherwise we would see players of weaker teams competing for the ballon
