calciomercato.com wrote:Andrea D'Amico, agent of Sebastian Giovinco , confirms the intention of the Juventus player to regain possession of the entire tag, now co-owned with Parma: " Giovinco is like to Conte that Marotta, is in their plans - the agent says to Radio Mana Mana - Today's meeting between the two companies. After two years of continuity has proven its value. Fnchè are not formalized with a concrete document all the words, but there is everything so stand by. In a big team like Juventus , there are few owners who have fixed roles. Count spins much his attackers. The key thing for Giovinco, however, is to go to a team that appreciates him for the qualities he has. Boy has done well to Parma . Unfortunately in Italy there is this evil costume with our talents, we tend now to give more opportunities to South America rather than have our kids. Lazio? There has never been any contact. "
sorry for the translation...blame google.

Re: Rumour: Giovinco to Juve
Decision day for Giovinco?
Reports in Italy are suggesting that Juventus will agree a deal with Parma later today to take back full ownership of Sebastian Giovinco.
The Italian international is contracted to both clubs, but a Stadio Tardini exit is expected after his stellar showings in Serie A 2011-12.
Despite interest from outfits such as Inter, it seems that Parma are ready to do a deal with Juventus by the end of Tuesday.
Whispers are claiming that Juventus will pay around €12m for Parma’s half share in the forward after the Gialloblu initially asked for closer to €15m.
Juventus could cover that cost partly with cash and partly with the inclusion of other players within the deal.
The 25-year-old moved to the Ducali in the summer of 2010 on a loan move. A year later, Parma bought a 50 per cent cut in him for just €3m.
Giovinco, who scored 15 goals in 36 League games this term, has apparently been requested by Juventus boss Antonio Conte.
The Coach wants a reinforced squad for the Old Lady’s return to the Champions League in 2012-13.
Giovinco is currently with Italy at Euro 2012.

Yeah, we really screwed ourselves with that deal. I'm not sure why we gave them such a cheap option on Giovinco. Even after his poor seasons with Juve, it was clear that he was worth more than 6 million total. It seems ridiculous to pay 12 million for a player you once owned.

Re: Rumour: Giovinco to Juve
Maybe the 3 million € deal was all Parma wanted to offer for Giovinco, or else they'd leave the deal.. One could argue Parma made him the player he is now and that we paid them 8m € for it.. In that case.. If Giovinco turns out to be top class for us as well it's not that bad a deal afterall.
I still believe he could be included in a Jovetic deal with Fiorentina, though.. Or eventually a Cavani deal with Napoli. (Insinge is back in napoli btw and he only wanted to return if he was guaranteed a certain amount of playing time so i find it hard to believe that Marzzarri is asking for another SS like Giovinco, though)

I agree with most of what you said. The co-ownership deals are becoming the only way that the smaller teams will give the player proper playing time. Many times, the loan deals will result in the player sitting on the bench in favor of players owned or co-owned by the team. However, in my opinion, Giovinco was a different situation and we shouldn't have agreed to those terms. They were always in favor of Parma from the beginning.
