Capello had moments during his reign when the team looked far better than it does right now, except right now the current team is scrapping by and getting results. If Roy can lead them further into the tournament and see the team have some great performances (as opposed to barely good enough performances), then I will agree with aleumdance, but at this stage this thread is a bit of a hyperbole.

you should have seen what was said against Woy when he was appointed here..

Like what Mole said, Capello also got England out of the group stage in the 2010 WC. So far the team have been winning unconvincingly and if that continues, he will never be rated in this forum.

He got them out of a completely pathetic group. And they didn't even win it. They actually won the group as well, and avoided playing spain. While italy is certainly no push over its much more possible for them to upset them.
