My thoughts exactly personally our entire first eleven( simpson aside as he wouldn't be in my first eleven ) should be between 77 and 83 but it's close enough

Having said that Santon had a low overall in Fifa 12 and i still found him to be good because of his tackling, dribbling and overall speed and strength so it won't be too much of a problem.

I seen a video of the demo in German and Juve's ratings were a bit better. Vidal and Marchisio still underrated but Pirlo was 88 I think. Giovinco was 84 and i'll post all of the ones I see later.

Debuchy was available for 6m lol, that is actually realistic anyway as the media reckon we had 14m from the budget left unspent which will be used in January apparently.

I don't know how many researchers EA Sports employ to rate teams, but there's a world of difference in the quality of work they do and the work done by the researchers employed by Sports Interactive for Football Manager.

On Football Manager, I get the impression the players have been rated after a fair bit of research has been conducted. On FIFA, I get the impression that the fashionable players - the ones that got all the hype and attention - are rated higher than some players who are actually better than them. For example, Scott Brave Scotty Brave Scotty Parker having a higher rating than Mikel Arteta.

...still a lot better than PES' ratings, mind you.

I'm actually pleased how Newcastle first eleven have come out this year stats wise.

Santon aside, i believe most of them are quite fair ratings.

Ofcourse the more supported teams are usually hyped higher than they should be and the lower ones are ignored which is disappointing.

But the ratings as a whole seem fair to me, having said that i have not seen any other teams so i can't give a proper opinion on the job they have done.

fifa 12.5 ffs honestly it's absurd they're trying to pass this off as a new game, it's basically the same damn thing except they fixed the refs, impact engine and AI isn't stupid and static, yet they pass these off as 'new features' It's basically what fifa 12 should have been in the first place.

I really doubt those are final. For example, basically every Arsenal player in that vid has the same ratings as 12. Jenkinson, Mert, Verm, Gibbs, Arteta, Cazorla, Poldi, Giroud all the same. Diaby a 76? Lol. Could be wrong of course but to me it looks like they're mostly using the Fifa 12 ratings for now and they'll likely fully update the rosters a couple days before release.

Even the other squads I've seen are basically the same as well. And Ronaldo not only still has the same overall but all his individual stats are the same(except FK acc which is 79 now).
