Messi in the hands of the right person on FIFA can be devastating.
Again whether it is true or not 99 rating is just retarded.

you have a point there. Myaichi for me, is not that good at shooting, passing and whatever but his pace alone gives me opportunities to score. I bet that hardly anyone will really notice a difference with Messi being 99 if that is the case....

Yeh, I'm sure many people on FIFA would choose a pacey 72 over a slow 78 winger.

It's all about the pace.
That is all.

It's annoying.
I mean I tear people up with James Rodriguez and he isn't rated that high.

It's not all about pace, though. If you can read the play pace is only a problem on the counter. Otherwise you can score/intercept even without significant pace.

Besides, even on the counter, acceleration > pace.

This too. Pace really is only a problem if the player has very good dribbling, otherwise you can read the player and tackle or slide in, up to you.For me alot of stats matter to players like strength, pace, acceleration, stamina, but i honestly wanna know, what does stuff like vision and attack awareness really do? And interceptions, and the like, i dont really think they do anything. I ffound out the other day that that agility is a legit stat. RVP and Arshavin have similar dribbling but Shava has more agility. RVP actually felt a bit sluggish compared to Shava when i played against the spuds....

Vision will help a player pick the proper pass, I notice it a lot as I tend to switch between players like Gerrard with my Liverpool manager save and players like Andy King with my Leicester save. It's incredibly frustrating playing with the latter as I'll see a throughball and try to play it but the player will opt for a safer option because their vision isn't high enough to see the pass I do.

Interceptions are similar, but on the defending side. The AI with a high interception rating will react and stop a pass while a player with a low rating will let it go between his legs (extreme example, but it happens to me).

I thought vision only affected AI? like they will only do a through ball, if they can see it? Ya know what i mean? So you're saying that a player with lower vision, will not go and make a run, because he can't see what ball i'm trying to play? Reason why i asked all this is coz sometimes it doesnt look like that stuff doesnt make a difference. Like i could have, Vermaelen or Miquel in defence, let the AI defend for me, and watch the opposition tear them a new one. (legendary mode) And i see very average players passing like Barcelona in my box, and very average players making these fantastic passes and crosses. I think sometimes some of the stats are just bulls***. I think maybe im just a little pissed off because lately i've lost my touch BIG time. I'm passing around, keeping possession, but i just don't know how to cut through the oppositions defence anymore.....

You can't exactly release a gameplay trailer without an engine already in place so you can only despair.

I play it on PC. Just as good as console and even better if you have a really good PC.

Buddy, I don't think the Pc/Console thing should be a factor if you're using a gamepad. I've had the same concerns regarding PES when my ps3 broke down, and I figured there was no way I could transition to pc keyboard controls. Lo and behold, the Motioninjoy software that lets you use your 360/Ps3 controller on your PC. For free Very Happy. I highly recommend that you check it out if you're gna play football games on the PC

Been running most of my games through the pc, and I'm only gna fix my ps3 when a truly desirable exclusive comes out.

I don't even use that software(whatever you called it) Razz

I just plug my Xbox controller for Windows, and the game picks it up. Razz

Ok, cool. I don't have a spare Xbox or PS3 controller handy, so should I just buy one and plug it in? or are there cheaper/better alternatives?

Also, my PC is a HP Core i7, so hopefully it lives up what you said about it being even better than console.

Buy the Xbox controller for PC. They last long and are original. There are a lot of FAKE PS3 controllers out there.

I'm sure the i7 would be more than capable of handling new games, so that shouldn't be a concern at all. Some features are definitely better with a pc, ( pes for example has awesome edits , and skyrim barely had any bugs on the pc vs the ps3 version )

Buying a controller would definitely be recommended since it's not just restricted to football gaming, and you can run other games using the controller. It's always good to have an alternate option anyway. As for which controller is best recommended, I can't really say since all I've used is the ps3 joystick. Although barrett's description of the 360 controller use has me inclined towards that, since getting my ps3 joystick to work on my Pc wasn't exactly easy.

I used to play fifa 98 - 2004 with keyboard. Imo, joysticks and gamepads are definitely the way to go. Especially for football games. Everyone has their own preference though

In terms of career mode, they could maybe allow you to start bidding for players from May, instead of July.

I hope they also allow you to offer/swap players to clubs in a transfer deal. It's annoying when you want to buy a player and the transfer box says "this club is short on players of this position, so it will take a really good offer for them to sell"
