Lambert in talks with Villa today.

Don't personally like the move much at all. Oh well.

Villas owners suck, no matter how good Lambert does there will always be a ceiling just below the CL I think...

I think he wouldve been a better fit for Liverpool than Rodgers, but I dont like Liverpool so im not complaining

Poor Swansea and Norwich though Sad

I agree i am more impressed by Lambert aswell..... hope he changes his mind about Villa.

Would be a terrible decision. No manager has moved onto better things from Villa since the 80's. Do poorly and you're on the scrapheap, do well and nobodies that impressed.

Keep doing well at Norwich and much better opportunities will come along.

I could understand the thinking. He probably feels Norwich has reached their ceiling and more than likely, overachieved. The problem is, it is Aston Villa we're talking about. Don't really fancy this at all really.

But I rather Rogers though...

I rate Lambert higher, so as a Liverpool fan, well... It sucks. Apparently both were available and I think we got the worse than Aston Villa are getting. Really unimpressed by our owners right now.

Plus I believe Lambert had a style at Norwich more similar to our style, to our players. Rodgers' style at Swansea might be more difficult to implement with out current crop of players.

Lambert is like rich man's Tony Pulis.

His CV as it stands is more impressive, but there is serious question mark that his semi-hoofball can be translated to bigger teams.

Also, I think BR is more pragmatic when it comes to defending which creates more balance
