RIbery has 26 Assists BTW (20 BL, 5 CL, 1 DFB, )

Even Muller in a not so great season & Kroos in his 1st Break-Out season have 20 & 18 Assists respectively.

According to transfermarket.de Messi has 37 assists.
But, they count:
- Penalties won as assists.
- A shot on goal, (Saved by GK or on Cross bar) than some one finishes the ball in the goal after the rebound, they also count it as an assists, i didn't..

Just kidding, but honestly, penalties won and rebounds shouldn't count as assists. And when you remove those two factors, I think it's Oezil with the highest number of assists, not sure though.

I checked all europe's top player's Stats, Kross has 15... Muller has 12 (not including penalties won etc..)

Actually Alves has 16 assists this season, he didn't win a single penalty this season and he rarely does...

Busquets won 2 penalties this season, including that one against ACMilan...

They only count own penalties won sometimes, so it's a "bug". Messi has 35 according to transfermarkt if you filter those out.

No... i think u miss understand me..
I didn't include penalties won, or rebounds etc..

This is why Messi has 29 (if i include them he has 37).
Ozil has 24 (30 including penalties won etc...)
...
Muller has 12 (20 including penalties won etc..)

That's not the proper way to count assists though. I think you should include the number of games as well to see who's got the better rate. Messi's fantastic, no doubt but when it comes to assists - Ozil's king.

There is no proper way to count assists, because it isn't defined. So everybody has different rules. I think more wider rules, better it reflects your input on goals.

So true.. When you have 6-7 days rest between 2 games, u can perform better than some one who played 3 games ( with 3 days rest between them)...

Anyway; Messi 29 assists in 60 official games (Ratio: 0.483)
Ozil 24 assists in 52 official games (Ratio: 0.461)

Its close, but still Messi is a little bit ahead.
